Brad sets the bar with pre-draft FA signings then he takes it up a notch in the draft.
A CB comes out of college where he's facing two or maybe three really great receivers - buy when they get into the NFL they're facing great receivers in every game. So it's quite an adjustment they have to make and they need to learn about which receivers do this and which do that.
The two cornerback draft picks the Lions made are press man corners so that type of a cornerback doesn't need to have 4.0 forty yard dash times. They're great at checking receivers at the line of scrimmage to throw them off their routes.
BH is cooking with nitroglycerin. I think this is his best draft. Killed it and got his 3rd Michelin ⭐️. Let Bradly set the table. We gonna get 12 wins with a mucho more diff sched…. That’s like 14-15 from last year!!!! He’s got the secret sauce . Yum

@user-fd4qq7yo6p You clearly don't watch BH talk much. They have NEVER drafted for need, and will never draft for need. It's all about the player at the top of the board, and how their board plays out. They recognize their needs, talk about them, but do not deviate. I will agree with you that there was more emphasis on moving around to make things happen to draft certain players(Manu & Vaki), but again, BH has been a mover in all his drafts. It's the same poetry as from the start. But he can cook, thank god.

Brad is tired of the excuses and why he drafted 2 corners first. Last year he did what Glenn wanted and brought in big name DB vets. This year he also threw in several projects and a hybrid HB/S to go along with Malcolm Rodriguez LB/FB for special teams.

I think the CBs will be starters in 25/26. Maybe earlier. However, the success of this draft is if the 2 OL hit and Wingo proves able.Vaki at minimum is a sp teams stud. Have to see how he contributes after that.

@mattverville9227 We have had better top tier talent before. But never this kind of starting depth. CD3, starter! Amik Robertson, up and Comer with starting experience, plays his best ball as outside man. Moseley, if healthy, probably the best of them all coverage wise. Vildor has 25 games started, solid depth. Then 2 high drafted rookies. We are better if Arnold doesn't start. That means Meek or Moseley are balling! Or Vildor, lol. They may retard the offense if they compete too well. HAHAHA.

Bears new Off Coor is X-Ram, X-Seahawks Shane Waldron. Geno Smith picked up McVay's playbook in 2 years under Waldron but Russell Wilson couldn't. Caleb looks like more of a Russell type QB.
Luons were smashing the 49ers than stopped running the ball in the 2nd half. Not sure why but w shouldve smoked them that game. If we wouldve i think we couldve won the superbowl because neither team did really good . Luo s i believe are better than the chiefs and the 49ers

Mahogany was way down there because two thirds of the league don't use the kind of running scheme the Lions do and he's a perfect fit for their scheme. And they said the knock on him was that he has one leg longer than the other - which potentially may cause some conditioning issues. He had a torn ACL the year before last. But they have that type of rushing attack which needs a good pulling guard. They lost Jackson who was that guy. Barry Sanders said he wished he had the open lanes the Lions were opening up downfield last year.

Guess Mahogany has one leg longer than the other and that was another reason he dropped. To me, who cares as long as he can play?
What I have learned being a lions fan for 30+ years was that I would rather see ot to belive it. And that no disrespect to the guys we drafted. But the move from college to pro is way different and faster. A lot of guys don't make it especially in the later rounds. I have PTSD from years past that I would be so hype before the season starts and then we go 5 -11 becuaee guys get hurt or not enough talent. And with brads love for guys who have injury history it .makes me patient and wait for the fall

I've been a Lions fan for 50+ years and understand the baggage. It warped our perception for sure. This leadership team is different. It doesn't mean all these players will hit or that the Lions are a lock for a championship, but this is not the SOL. Let that go.

yea exactly. Talking heads made for entertainment. If they were experts they would be working for an nfl team. Its very dumb for people grade drafts before any of these players play a snap. We shouldnt grade drafts until 3 years at least but then again, that wouldnt be entertaining
I mean he works for PFF as their lead draft analyst and does year round research of draft picks using PFFs analytics. He knows more than you.
I see a lot of "experts" hating on this pick, and I just dont get it... Watch his tape. This kid is going to contribute at a minimum on special teams. He is valuable because he is multiple... And he is a dog. You can see it.
Lions take special teams more serious than most teams. We also put more into the mental side of the player than other “draft experts” do. They just look at the talent but we get guys that are dogs, coachable, and talented. They might not be as talented to start with but they develop faster

The only reason I see the bears making the playoffs is there upcoming schedule. Sheesh they play so many of last year's weakest teams inthis upcoming schedule that it should be easy; unlike the lions who will face last years best teams. Hard to believe we will face Dallas and the 49ers again and our worst opponent to face, the Seahawks who always come to our house and bust us up.

thats some borderline flat earth conspiracy stuff right there. Brad was saying its unacceptable to have the last ranked defense because it is. I dont see no strife, thats crazy. AG isnt going anywhere. He has been good despite people that know nothing always complain. He hasnt had the talent that the offense has had and you can only do so much with a lack of talent. It improved big last year and its going to take a big leap into the top 10 this year. If he takes a step back this year i can see him being on the hot seat but AG is loved by the players. He was ranked #1 in the league by the players last year for assistant head coaches
