I saw him when I was 8 years old at ontelaunee Park Pennsylvania what an awesome wonderful memory my mother died when I was seven so that was one year later so I got to see it him seeing I'll never forget it but Sally Starr from Philadelphia bought that Park and turn it into a country music place to go so 50 years later I still have the memories I just turned 59 on January 23rd 2023 4 days ago I'm very sad

I remember being really young and seeing my dad’s 8-track tape of Freddy Fender. Dad was a big fan. My little self couldn’t stop laughing at the hair. I remember vividly, and I was maybe 4 or 5. The man had a lot of hair! Well, it didn’t take long before I started seeing family members wearing big Freddy Fender hair. I’m part Mexican, and, boy, were my Mexican relations proud of Mr. Fender representing la raza. With my youth, seeing all that hair on cousins and uncles, I thought the world had gone mad! Amazing voice!
