One plus you can take from it is you didn't get collected up by the other cars so hopefully just the bits that broke to repair rather than a lot more.

Simply couldn't believe what I witnessed 2 corners down from where I was, ready with my camera to capture you taking the maiden win for the Cupra. My heart sank, and so did I, to the ground. It was simply a stunning drive up to that point. Wishing you all the best for the rest of the season, and a 2024 campaign, and I'm sure I'll be able to meet you in the paddock once again.

I have watched touring cars for years and years, you drove an absolute stormer of a race, I was on the edge of my sofa ! I thought the race win was in the bag. All credit to you when you got out of the car you didn't slam doors or take strop. I will be following you and the team from now on. Best of luck next time out. Fair play Dan your driving was on point in that last race. I was buzzing when you got pulled out the bowl for pole !! I was glued to the TV cheering you on all the way till that disaster hit, really felt your pain.. the highs & lows that’s motorsport for ya. 🏁💪🏼
Thats a killer feeling when you think about what could of been ...that sinking feeling you get. The best you can take out of it is that you proved the pace of yourself and the car .

Dan - this drive was something special - the Supra working well, but you were the star to outrun that competition.
You emerge from this experience head held high again at the top of the top level pile - a high-inertia platform on which to base your end of season push to bring next year to reality.

That was a brutal ending mate, especially after you’d been mugged of a solid lead by the safety car. Was an absolutely brilliant drive under pressure. Racing can be ridiculously cruel sometimes

That for me was the drive of the season! Your commitment through the chicane and the way you were dragging everything out of the car lap after lap was super to watch! The only time I shouted at the TV all day was when I saw your car break on you!

I was there. The sound I heard (and emitted) from around me when we found out what had happened, absolutely heartbreaking. While I don't follow you in-depth. That was a deserved win 100%. Good luck at the future rounds. You'll get that win one day.

Truly gutted for you mate. My son and i only managed to watch it last night because i work shifts. Your desire for a win is more genuine and would definitely be far more memorable than the title chasing drivers who would just treat it as "just another win to battle for the title". We'll be rooting for you when we get to watch it on record when I've finished work despite the fact we live just over an hour from Silverstone. Very best of luck.

Dan, I was heartbroken after seeing you drive like an absolute demon for the entirety of that race. You really showed class and serious talent to hold off everyone for as long as you did. Gutted that you were so close to your first podium with TEAM Hard. It will come soon, I can feel it. Love your content mate and love watching you race, I always root for you wherever you are racing. Was up at McLean's watching the race, absolutely gutted for you Dan. As you went passed on the final lap thought that's it well done lad. Then to see the car starting to fishtail was absolutely devastated for you buddy. Saw you sat up against the fence up a Coppice, wanted to come and give you a big hug mate 😂 absolutely gutted for you buddy you 1 million percent deserved that win. I was watching from the banking at Hollywood, starting to believe when the gap back to Rory stayed about constant then the drama unfolded on the big screen in front of us - a collective groan from the crowd that it wasn't to be this time. I was at Donington at the hairpin for that last race, absolutely GUTTED when we didnt see you come round the last lap!
It was gutting and devastating to see, not a foot wrong absolutely perfect drive. Mechanicals happen don’t let yourself or your race engineers/mechanics feel bad nothing could have prevented that mechanical.
As your partner has said Dan chin up be proud you did good other chances will present themselves 👍.
The highs of the reverse grid to the low of that last lap. Everyone trackside felt it with you, that drive deserved the win.
I hope it highlights your talent to sponsors and keeps you in the BTCC. Take the positives to Silverstone!
I was sitting on the outside of Old Hairpin through that race. From what I could see on the nearest screen it looked like Butcher had wiped across the back of you and tipped you into a tank slapper, didn't realise youd had a mechanical failure until now. Gutting that it happened and so close to the finish. You drove a brilliant race up to that point too.
Better days will come Dan. You've proved you and the car had the pace and you had the skill to defend all race long. A true winner... just no trophy to show for it.

Dan you drove a superb race and its devastating to miss out on a win so close to the flag, very similar to Cammish a coupe of years ago when he had brake failure to win the title. Wow seeing how upset you are, I cant image the days after for him. Keep up the videos its great to see a drivers perspective on the BTCC

it will come to you Dan, and its great to see the Cupra and Leon back at the top. Ive supported and loved the Leon in the Btcc since JP and Rob huff days and in the wtcc when there were 7 plus in a race keep your chin up stay positive and you'll be fine

I was track side at the chicane and I was talking to marshals asking what happened, 😩 couldn’t not believe it! The gap you was pulling every lap was awesome. You was on a mission, see you at silverstone! Keep on pushing you’ll get your win soon!
