Fine fly mate. But what does midge mean? Is it a size or is it a accual insect? We have a part in our clubwater thats called "the midge strech" and I dont know what it means and doesnt have the curage to ask :)

Nice looking Midge in size #14 but I am wondering if this pattern can be tied down to 18 to 22 hook size. In my area Midge Flies are smaller.
