- This is kind of like an old Intershow. Lots of vendors there Drag cars, Off road vw class 11 and V8 off road cars. . V8 Porsche powered hot rod style rat bug.

WOW what a show. I wish I could have filmed it all. I missed so much. There was a guy who Ran 600hp on the dyno in a street car. I talked to him after and he said he wants to do an interview about the engine and car. But not that day. I will need to find him at another event just to see.....That is HUGE.....27lbs of boost turbo street car. And that is 600 hp to the rear wheels. On an engine dyno that would be more like 700hp. On the Dyno Mike doe doe me just realized I was talking to Mike watching this video wow the heat was getting to me hope you had a good time not to many people at the Irwindale drags this time like when I usually go I left before 12 noon it was OK people where asking way to much for the yard sale stuff ..
Hey Mike ! That 928 engine was awesome . My friend Archie had a 924 4 banger that would scream . We were drinking beer and was on 44 going 140+ and as we went pass a cross road I realized there was a pole cat ( TDPS ) patrol car . I told Archie and we went 2 miles more then he turned off his headlights at a turned around , went the other way and here came the pole cat with his lights on . I know you had a good time at the show . Thanks for the video !!!!!!
I used to go to these Hot VW shows all the time. I had Many bugs, a type 3 hatch backs, a notch back and and VW Thing, and many VW vans of different years. Miss those days.

That silver hot rod bug is so cool. Nice to see something different to your typical cal look beetle reminding people to have fun with these cars and not get too Pickety about whether you've got Porsche Fuchs wheels or not. Something which I've got so bored of. Definitely refreshing to see! Love your videos Mike!
I found a later split bus bucket truck in Bakersfield sitting in a mini storage lot a few years ago. Not there anymore so somebody bought it but it was such an awesome find and sad to see it just sitting there.
Man this is one good lookin VW after another after another after another……nothing even close happens around here. Nothing like a California event.

I really enjoy your videos. I think that light blue bug is L639 Zenith Blue. Bahama Blue has more green in the color (I have a '66 Bahama Blue bug).
wow it is nice love that color. I didnt know they had that color in 66 thought it was in like 64 and earlier.

In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!! (BABBVEN)
So ridiculous. You can't tow anything in an electric chair. Err car. Less than half the range for an E150. I haven't seen an electrified motor home yet. I guess we can enjoy going around the block.
Videotaping was okay you missed a few key cars that you kind of swung by and didn't really catch very well you're going to do it you do it all the way otherwise you're not going to get the great comments you got to check all the bugs out man not just part of them
lots of distarctions. cant just film sometimes I get stopped and need to restart. then many cars have left.
