dude my voice in phone recordings sound decent but i swear, my sister just keeps on telling to stop singing cuz im just embarrassing myself, apparently.

Believe it or not, that is the voice others hear.. the voice that we hear in our head can only be heard by us... the reason is the mode of transmission of sound waves... the voice we hear is the one that travels via bone and the one that others(including phones) hear travels via air.. bone density and air density is different, resulting in different voices... due to this our voice sounds a lot deeper and stronger than it is in real life... we find our voices( recorder voice I mean) bad because it is alien to us, it’s either that or you’re truly bad at singing(most likely isn’t the case)

If you record it on like a phone, your voice may sound bad, but it may not sound like it in real life, if you have a quality camera though, it may sound like your actually voice.

Peridot Meepmorp that’s normal. I have a pretty deep voice for a girl too and I tried to sing high pitched songs I mean normal pop songs and K-POP songs. But it just turns out to ruin my voice. But I always use male versions so that’s easier. For example I can’t sing little mix no more sad songs cause it’s too high for me so I used the male version.
I had my own voice but in the last 2 years I got into kpop and I listened to so many different voices and I learned to mimic them all perfectly and now I cant really find my own voice 😩
