Congrats! Unfortunately my 1st test I was so nervous and it was raining so did not pass. I have my 2nd test on May 7, watching this great video and others to help me. Question, when exiting the highway to green lane, when do you begin to slow down by taking your foot of the gas, is it right after moving over to the right lane or when the exit lanes separate from the highway ?
I took my G test in Newmarket today and failed for ‘too many errors’ on regular roads. The route I was taken on was not this one - I took a left at the Drive Test, drove down Harry Walker until I reached Davis, took N and S on highway (Greenlane and back) and then from Davis onto Leslie and right on Gorham back to drive test Center. This is what I was penalized for: -not keeping a big enough distance from the cars in front of me. The instructor needs to be able to see rear wheels of vehicle ahead. -when I turned left from Davis to Leslie, I needed to switch to right lane when safe to do so (I didn’t do this and instructor did not tell me to switch lanes) -driving too slow. This is a tough one because I was driving between 45-50 in a 50 zone. So I guess they want you to stay at 50 and only vary by 1 or 2. -slowing down when merging (I didn’t realize I was doing this so just make sure you’re paying attention) -look left-right-left at every single intersection -the highway driving was fine, just make sure you reach 110 in merging lane because instructor told me I was too slow (I merged at 103) Overall, the little things do matter and they are paying attention to bad habits and will fail you for that.
I failed for the same reason. In the highway traffic act, it states that when you make a successful left hand turn on an intersection, and there are two lanes going same direction on the road you just turned on, you must turn in the inner most lane (left lane) and once safe to do so you must make a lane change to the right lane. Reason why is because the left lane is considered the “passing lane” so you’re essentially moving out of the way.
I passed today, exact same route. Thank you so much!!!

Is G2 parking and city driving on the G test or not?
Yes
Wondering why you didn't need to wait for incoming cars when you made the left turn at the first intersection...are they seeing red lights?
yes, they are seeing red lights. when you have the advance left turn signal, you have right of way
