Drive test route
-Leave parking lot
-Middle lane turn left
-Turn right towards road
-Turn left to leave parking lot
-First set of lights, turn right onto centre st
-When it’s safe, change one lane to the left.
Stay in lane all the way through simcoe
-At the entrance turn right and this will take you to the highway 401 west
-The posted speed will be 100km/hr.
After you merge with traffic, make one lane change to the left and back to the right when safe.
-the first exit stevenson we’ll exit the highway and at first traffic lights we will turn left
-turn right and this will take you onto the highway 401 east, the posted speed limit is 100km/hr
-after you merge onto traffic, change one lane to the left, then back to the right when it’s safe
-at first exit simcoe we will exit the highway then turn right
-turn right at park rd
-when it’s safe turn one lane to the left and back to the right
-turn right onto John st
-first entrance turn left into parking lot
-choose any space here and do front parking.

The first highway merge ramp is very short ..incase i dont reach 100 and i reach only 90-92 but safely merge will they fail ?
90-92 or 105-108 shouldn't be a problem as long as you're merging smoothly.

@@HamaraToronto Yes, I passed. It's easy after viewing your video and several other TH-camrs, many thanks and thumb ups to all of you. The one key info for other viewers in case you guys missed is: watch the traffic lights in Oshawa carefully if you've made most of your driving in Toronto, there are just a few traffic lights in Oshawa with a walker counter, so watch the lights without it change really carefully, must be more careful than in Toronto in order NOT to be caught rushing through a yellow/red light. Also, on the road leading directly into 401, there is a traffic light with a straight/left arrow, don't hesitate when this light is on, go straight out. This light is very rarely seen in Toronto, you could be a bit confused.
For me, since my test was on a Friday afternoon close to 2 PM, and traffic started picking up on my way returning, the examiner cancelled the two lane changes, which made the test a bit easier. However, I made four lane changes when I was off 401 and going back to the test center. Do remember if you made a lane change before a traffic light and had no chance to change back, stay in the left lane and change back AFTER the traffic light. DO NOT change when crossing the intersection.
The examiner was nice and easy to work with. I chatted with her a bit, easing my anxiety. Try chatting with them as long as your English can handle that and you are not distracted by the talk.
I may upload a video myself in the next week or so if time allows, explaining more details on what you may need to watch out in your daily driving and test preparation, especially if you live in Toronto. Will provide link here if I do.

Hi, I have my G test at Oshawa. while practicing, I found that the ramp to 401W is too short to reach 100. did others also face this issue ?
@@1991choudhary Yes, the ramp is not that long but just increase as much as you can keeping the surrounding traffic in mind. Just show them you're trying to smoothly merge. All the best for your Test!

Ive had this question for G-test...especially on the highway...on the 401, although the posted speed limit is 100kmph, most drivers go at almost 120 most times even in the rightmost lane,
in that case, say you were to merge onto the 401 and:
1) the car behind you and the car that just went past you, were going at 120, then do you also go at 120 or their speed ? so as to not block traffic? or do you still merge and drive at 100kmph?
2) say you merged onto the 401 and you left merged onto another lane (as the examiner instructed you to) and on that lane, cars behind you and after you were going at more than 120 kmph, do you match up to their speed? or go at 100 kmph?

These are good questions and a simple answer is, Whenever you are merging to 401 adjust your speed with the traffic but do not go more than 105 as the examiner can fail you for this.
Secondly, whoever is driving on the rightmost lane it's up to them too to adjust their speed so you can smoothly merge on to highway.
If the traffic is too fast which always seems like or too slow adjust accordingly while letting your examiner know that I am adjusting the speed according to the situation.

You need to obey the speed limit. Drivers do tend to let you in as long as you drive around 100km/h

Around 1 PM by then your examiner will be finished with his lunch and there should be less traffic.

Yeah, If you are not aware of the route then you do have a chance to make this mistake as this is a bit confusing for someone who is already there first time and giving the test.

Yes, there is no parallel parking, and three points turn temporarily for the G test.
second video that I see with the same examiner. He sounds like a cool guy. I hope I have the luck of having him as the examiner.
He's more so like a robotic personality. No such expression you should pass the test as long as you don't commit a major mistake. All the best!

First of all, thank you for your appreciation.
The simple answer to your question is, Don't try to adapt to the conditions after speeding, Try to adapt to the requirements then speed up, and maintaining a proper speed is crucial at the same time it depends on your examiner 45 in 40 should be ignorable at the same time 35 in 40 also should be ignorable but again it depends on your examiner.

When I gave the test at that time there was some exception for the G Test and I am not sure if it's changed now.
What was the only mistake that u did?
I mistakenly, changed lanes to a merging lane, I thought its an exit lane. @10:30
Your turn signal was also left on at the lights before the highway (First ave. and Simcoe st.)
@@rustyboltz2820 Since I was not so much aware of that road I thought I have to take the right from the signal in order to merge into the Highway, Thankfully timely realized it was a bit ahead so turned off the signal. Good observation though!
I also thought that 2nd mistake is not stopping at amber light when turning right before getting back to the examination center. But again it might depend on the examiner.
@@bojanboli4814 If I stopped at amber yellow he could argue that I could have gone through therefore, I thought since I can make it right easily I did it.

Yes, If your road test location is Oshawa then there are two routes for G Test. One is this one and the other one is a bit different.

@@nitinchahal3613 i am in the same situation, ie directly from G1 to G "skipping G2", so how was your road test, did the examiner ask you from parallel parking / 3-point turn / etc (ie G2 related test) or directly G test "highway"?
@@nitinchahal3613 Uh that's kind of ridiculous because the G tests I've seen here on TH-cam don't ask for a 3 point turn or parallel parking, and I didn't have to do it either back in 2009, only during my G2 test...
