I like the CR90 w Advanced Projectors. Bc you're circling the enemy, one side of the ship is always facing them. With AP, you can use your far side shields over and over. Blast doors are too late for a hull 4 ship I think. The longer you can use those TRCs the better.
You are a genius, Crabbok, for the CR90 is already helping me win games as Rebels. These ships fly all over the board and the Imperials just cannot catch this thing.

I really love these "ships of Armada" video's. I have watched every one and it has improved my gaming skills for sure. Can't wait for more from you. And if/when you finish all the ships... do you have any interest in doing the squadrons or would that be too much a mess? Also love to hear from you in what I am sure is your SO ABUNDANT free time (super sarcasm here) how you want the next wave to change the fundamentals of the game and what needs to be added or altered for better gameplay. I think its time for the Lancer since squadrons have become dominant in a game about ships.
TANTIVEIV There's a story about Dia Katana where one of the programmers was talking about the character "Cage". John Romero said, "There's no Cage, his name is pronounced Kah Gee". To which the programmer responded, "You better tell the voice department, because his name is Cage." [It was spelled Kage] I suspect the voice actors misread the name of the ship. Having listened to the radio drama dozens of times, there's clearly a "V" sound at the end.
I usually run the CR-90 B with Dodonna's pride and overload pulse in a Mon Mothma build. Do you think the reinforced blast doors defensive retrofit from the imperial light cruiser pack would be a good addition? I haven't had a chance to test this yet (mainly because don't have the light cruiser yet) but my initial thought was that the blast doors would give you an extra turn to either exhaust a second enemy ship's defense tokens or deal another face up damage to the enemy flagship.
I considered it.... but I don't think you would ever get your point's worth out of it. I fly CR-90s alot and fly AGAINST CR-90's alot. Usually, if I'm getting damage through the shields on a CR-90, it means the defense tokens are exhuasted. If that's the case, then it's about to pop. I usually don't even bother attacking a CR-90 with a strong force unless i can kill it this turn. There are VERY few times I'll leave an enemy CR-90 alive with more than 1 damage card on it. It's either taken light damage to shields, or it's dead. there's almost never an inbetween, and that is exactly where you'd need it to be in order to get value out of the blast doors. I could maybe see using blast doors is if you plan on overlapping multiple obstacles, like for certain objectives or something.
Time to necro one of your videos. I'm curious how you feel about the change to Rieekan now that it's only 1 ship a round. I feel like he loses a lot of power for the swarm type fleet.
I think the comment about ramming is hilarious given the small playing field. I agree it isn't in the spirit of the game; I personally don't see how an ISD (or SSD for that matter) can collide at speed X with a CR90 and be halted. Doesn't the CR-90 disintegrate? The more I watch these videos the more it seems the rulebook leaves a lot of details missing. Do you have a segment on upgrade card dynamics in terms of when/how they are to be played?

I've used a CR90 to pin a ship in place by
getting in front of it. Then unleashed on the pinned ship with my other ships.
I usually use the Cr-90 as a support ship for any smaller light frigates so they arent JUST a kamikaze unit

And in all the audio books they say it that way as well. It was a shock to me, having always assumed it sounded like "Active".
