I just picked up Armada and your videos are really helpful. Id love to see a video like this on the Mc30, that's the first ship I picked up after my core set.
I am 100% getting an ISD whenever I pick up the Core Set. I had originally planned on using the Relentless title, but holy fuck that Avenger/Overload Pulse combo sounds absolutely devastating.
I see the ISD 1 as a jouster closing in at speed 3 and tearing up with the tri-color broadsides at close range, then as they pull out they still have red/blue firing arc to finish off a ship. Would love Ozzel with 3 ISD-1 and a handful of TIE fighter squadrons. ISD 2 is a standard flagship designed as the centerpiece with the holw list built around it.
Would love to see an updated version of this video with the release of wave 7’s Chimaera. Also, Relentless with Skilled First Officer = Single Dial ISD madness.
Just like I comented on the Interdictor video, I'm thinking of running an ISD 2 with ECM, Motti and an Interdictor with Targeting Scramblers and Projection Experts supporting it. The third ship is a Demolisher that also benefits from Motti and the Interdictor. The enemy probably will avoid even attacking the ISD and go for the Demolisher, but he is going to be protected as well so he will do quite some damage before he dies, by then the ISD can finish off survivors.

I have a question regarding what you said in a previous video about the "SSD coming to Armada" do you honestly think they will add a Super Star Destroyer to Armada... I mean even in relative scale it's going to be too big for the table no? Unless they double the table size with some form of epic play. I don't mind scale wise even if it was just double the ISD size, but I don't think they will =/
How great if they release some packs of ship cards and we get an ISD with a Fleet Command slot. Now that they have all these neat new actions and abilities in the game I would like to see a revisit of some of the older ships with new cards. Also love to see a Neb-B that is a spec-ops ship with higher speed and better slots but less guns and lower command. Maybe as part of a new campaign kit...?
Why couldn't you run overload pulse on the Avenger itself? Don't crits get resolved before defense tokens? Granted, it may be best to use another ship to overload pulse, then get the defender to discard those tokens before the ISD attacks, but it should be possible to put it on the Avenger, right?
The crit will trigger AFTER defense tokens are spent but before damage is assigned. So it won't stop a defender from actually spending those tokens on the initial hit. It's generally better to run Overload Pulse on some other ship that's attacking BEFORE the Avenger shoots.

I like the relentless not as an oops button, but for adding flexibility. This game does involve dice after all ;)
The Skilled First Officer can be combined with Relentless for a 1 Command Dial ISD. I haven't tried it yet, but it could be very interesting.

I was so confused by the Avenger. I had no idea I could use exhausted defense tokens.
gigastrike2 if you use an exhausted defense token, it goes away for good. Usually at the end of a turn, exhausted tokens refresh.
