    Good tutorial thanks! I wonder if DDP standards changed some time - I looked at another instruction which is the same as this, and while a DDP player on computer seems to correctly identify track titles, album etc. once I burn the CD I still only have track 1, track 2 without any album name or track names =(

      This standard will never change again since DDP is for Glass Mastering and this is not only a consolidates standard, but it will have not any evolution.
      The reader of the final CD glass-mastered, will read the Text Fields as it should.

    Hi, thanx for your tutorial. However after installing the script in the User Plugins folder and restarting Reaper, I don't get DDP shown up under Action List. What to do?

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
      @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials  ปีที่แล้ว

      strange. If you have installed the correct version it should work. Pay attention to 32 or 64bit

    • @BlessedLoveSound
      @BlessedLoveSound ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials I have installed the latest Reaper version from the homepage and put the 64bit as well as the 32bit version of your script to the User Plugins folder

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
      @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials  ปีที่แล้ว

      To avoid malfunctions or strange behaviours:
      Reaper 64 bit should go with 64 bit version plugin.
      Reaper 32 bit should go with 32 bit version plugin.
      If you properly followed the instructions in this video, and what I said above, and you continue to have this issue, you should ask to the programmer by writing your case into the Reaper's Forum. The link is in the description.

    Why did you place the second marker at 2:00 and paste the first track at 0:00?

    Hi, really cool tutorial! I am amazed by how much can be done with Reaper, thanks to the awesome community 😄 Is it possible with your tool to add different tags, such as lyricist, mixing engineer, or recording place / studio? Also, do the song titles allow for special characters, such as umlauts (ü, ä) or other weird signs (ą, ó, ł)?

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials

      it’s not my tool. I tell into the video who’s made that tool. This tool uses DDP standard fields. All what’s needed is there. What there is not, it’s not standard hence it shouldn’t be used.

      Yes, soon I will make it. I have an application for Windows that can be launched from within Reaper. I just found few days ago one for Apple, so that I can put a link for the apple users as well (albeit the one for windows is working better).
      Now I'm working to the Storyboard. Once ready I will publish it.

      @@Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials Awesome! I'm looking forward to the video!
      In the meantime I had been working with a command line tool called ddpinfo.exe. Maybe you know it? This is able to test DDPs and create CUE images, which you can then burn with ImgBurn, for example.
      But if you can do everything in Reaper, it is of course much more comfortable!

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
      @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rekkorder No need to create any CUE/BIN with external tools in Reaper. Just File > Rendering and under the format options, where there is DDP there is also CUE/BIN.
      The tool I will show, it's to test the correct CD-TEXT format and directly to burn a CD WITH DDP. Without making any CUE/BIN first. Not needed. The tutorial will be a FLASHtorial. 1 minute and 50 seconds :-)

    If I'm understanding correctly, HOFA optimizes for Vinyl releases and ADM's, how does Reaper stack up in this regard?

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
      @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      what has to do DDP, that's made for Glass Mastering, with vinyl that's analogue ? DDP is NOT a mastering process at all. DDP comes AFTER have mastered. And mastering, is based on the skill of the Master Engineer rather than a plugin.

    Fantastic to see this working.
    One question, does the DDP export function automatically sample rate convert and dither the project audio to 44.1/ 16bit? I could just give it a go and find out but, I don't get to talk to many people nowadays so I will ask you.

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
      @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @tomleader7054
      @tomleader7054 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials I see. I was just confused because at the beginning you set up a 44.1k project and then at render you set to convert to 44.1.
      I am sure when I try it out all will become clear.
      As long as I can work at 96k and convert to 44 for ddp then carry on and do download files at 96 my life will be complete.

    Hi all! My name is Max and I'm studying mixing and mastering! I am a Reaper user and I am doing a DDP, and I have a problem: I don't know how to put, in the METADATA, if there are several authors: do you put a "comma" between each author? do you put a "space" after the comma? Do you have to write COMPOSER or COMPOSERS? Can metadata be written in UPPERCASE?
    For example:
    #Revolt!|PERFORMER=TILL I CONQUER|ISRC=1234567890|SONGWRITER=PHILLIP STEWART,RONALD REAGAN
    Thank you very much for the help!!

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
      @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The field *author* is only 1. Hence, as usual in all this kind of stations, you separate with a comma.

    Does it fits DDP 2.0 standard ? Thank you

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
      @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the DDP 2.0 differs from 1.0 for multisession: to be able to write CD Audio AND CD-ROM on a single disc. Reaper gives you the files to do so. It's the WRITING PROGRAM that should be able to apply this feature. So: this request should be dropped here and asked to who makes these programs.
      Then you can always you use the DDP package produced within Reaper, to burn your disc following 2.0 specs.

    • @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials
      @Not-Only-Reaper-Tutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me extend the concept: you no want to make a DDP to burn CDs for your own. It doesn’t make any sense.
      DDP is a format you have to send to the press plant. THEY have applications dor DDP 1 or 2. The files are exaclty the same.
      If you want to burn your CD-R CD just export it as CUE/BIN. And this ia not a video that can comply to CD-R home stuff. But only for real Glass Master CDs that you can’t print home
