I loved this, the step-by-step breakdown of your process was very helpful. I'd love to see more animal portrait tutorials in different mediums, like oil, acrylic, and pastel.
Thanks for creating this tutorial, it was very instructive and helpful.
So glad you enjoyed it! I agree that more mediums are needed for future videos. I appreciate that input! 👍
does your Master Watercolor set contain everything in the Ultimate set?
Hey Butch... Thanks for the question! Check out this video to understand the differences in the two sets. th-cam.com/video/0Vk4IO--ob0/w-d-xo.html
How do you set your lighting up. I always get a shadow on my hand.
I have multiple lights above and off to each side of my table. That will help get rid of those shadows. 👍
It’s amazing how much difference the white splatter layer makes! I would never have realized that. Thanks so much for your great instruction and super brush sets!!
My pleasure! Thank you for the support! And yes on the white splatter... Crazy how it works!
Gorgeously done, great job. I enjoyed watching this come to life, thanks!
Awesome! Thanks so much 😊
Which Paper Texture stack did you use from the wet media pack please Nathan?
It's the Alcohol Splatters one. 😊👍
@@NathanBrownArt Thank you
Love your videos. The explanations of the layers makes it so much easier to understand the painting style.
Perfect! Glad that it makes sense. Sometimes it's hard for me to tell if it does or not when making these.
You sir are on a level on your own
Oh thanks so much! 😊
Your artwork is so gorgeous! ❤ And these tutorials are amazing and incredibly detailed and helpful. I bought your brush set and was wondering if you would mind sharing briefly (as much as you’re comfortable with) how you create the wash stamps (and splatter ones too really)? Do you use existing procreate brushes to help with the pattern / wet effect or import actual traditional media? They are so realistic and awesome to use, I just feel kind of guilty not knowing the general creation process and blinding using them. Thanks and please keep uploading videos!!! :)
Hi there... Thanks so much! Glad to hear you're enjoying the brushes and the videos. I create all my brushes with traditional media painted by hand. ☺🎨
That’s so cool. Thank you so much for sharing. They are seriously amazing.
Great video. I could watch you paint all day. So much better than a standard tutorial because you let us inside your head! Thanks.
Thanks so much! So much of painting takes place in the artist's head. It's always interesting to me to discover what an artist is thinking while they work. 😊
Absolutely stunning!!! Love ur art style! I definitely want to try this ❤ thank u for telling the time to walk through everything!
You bet! Glad you enjoyed it, and took the time to comment! 😊
Great in depth tutorial! I've been using your brushes for a couple of months now and I am really impressed so far. For a future video I am very interested in the different kind of uses for the all different blend modes.
So glad that you're enjoying the brushes!! And great idea on the blend modes topic... Challenge excepted! 😎
Love it
I just put purchased your brushes and I love them !
That's so awesome!! Thank you so much 😊
Under the sea?
Thank you! ☺
Oh fantastic, thanks for this ❤
You bet! ☺👍
This was amazing! I love your painting style and I've been looking for a tutorial that would introduce me to it--this is perfect. I greatly appreciate you sharing the reasoning behind each step of your process; that always helps a method stick in my mind better rather than rote memorization of do this step, then this step, then this step, ta-da you're done. Keep 'em coming! You rock.
Wow!! Thanks so much I appreciate the kind words and great feedback. Definitely have more on the way 😊👍
I would love to see your new recording set up Nathan.
I bought some of your brushes gosh they are sooo good mate!
Thank you for uploading and showing us your process.
Have a G'Day mate.
Thanks so much! I appreciate the kind words. 😊 I'll see if I can film the recording setup and share that soon!
Dear Natan! What makes your tutorial to stand out is that you show technique of each step. That is what I learn hard way now. Please add loose landscapes to the list. Thank you for your valuable contribution for beginners!
You bet! Thanks for the kind words. 😊
Thx for the video. How I forgot about theres watercolor in the ultimate brush box. These 2 brushes really are a great addition to the master watercolor set.
You're right! This set does contain some of my favorite brushes that I go to quite often.
Really enjoyed watching the process and the thinking behind each step. Just the right length!
Awesome! I'm trying not to make them so long. 😄
I bought your ‘MWC’ brush kit a few weeks ago. Which brush in that set is equivalent to the one you call “Perfect Brush” in this video?
Hey Amanda... There's actually several brushes in the Master Watercolor set that are similar to the Perfect Brush. Try the "Smooth Watery Round" or the "Smooth Round" under the Textured Round category. Either of those will do the trick 👍
Hi Nathan, Thanks so much!!
Wonderful tutorial thank you. I have the brushes so hope to do this.
Awesome!! Give it a try! 🙂👍
❤
Yay!!!! This was a massive surprise!!!!!
Awesome Elijah! So glad to hear! Hopefully more surprises soon. 😊
Great tutorial, love your art!
Thanks so much!
