These highlights looked like they were in slow motion, you need to watch them in realtime to appreciate his greatness. Also if you want to see someone with insane speed watch Ted Ginn jr's return highlights.
I had no idea who this guy was a few hours ago and now I've watched every one of his videos. Excellent reaction videos. It's awesome seeing an athlete from one sport watch and appreciate videos from a different sport they are not too familiar with.
Devin Hester was the guy you stood up to watch during every kick return. Teams literally made it a point to kick it out of bounds to avoid kicking to him. He was a game changer and an amazing person in general.
that Vikings @ Bears game around 7:47 was a great one to see in person. I still won't ever get over my uncle declaring it "over" after hester's return and promptly leaving the stands for a piss break. Forte is a great one to check out as well, sidenote that outside his football career he's a pretty cool dude (I've had the pleasure of eating lunch with him at a restaurant my aunt owned)
Do the Nigerian nightmare, Christian Okoye or Steve Atwater. or you could really go back in NFL history and find highlights from Dick "Night train" Lane
Devin Hester has been one of my favorite players since I was little. You should post some videos of you in rugby, I'd love to see it since I just recently started playing
Hey man, love the videos. Not sure you have checkout Lawrence Taylor yet, but he is a must. He is the most dominant defensive player to ever play the game. Completely changed how offenses ran blocking patterns because the only person they cared about was LT. You would not be disappointed
I have never subscribed to any channel before, but I have to say that I enjoy watching you react to the NFL from a rugby player perspective. It's clear that you have an appreciation for the NFL and the players who play it. You seem to understand from an athlete's point of view the dedication and skill level that these players have to be the best at what they do...If I were to make a suggestion to you it would be I would like to see you react to players who laid the groundwork for what the game is today...An analogy might be that you are in the process of reading a 100 chapter book (NFL started in 1920) and you have begun reading from chapters 70 on....today's players are bigger, stronger and better athletes. But to understand the NFL you must have knowledge of the evolution of the game....I would like to suggest some videos about players/coaches/teams from the early days so you can have a fuller understanding of how we got to where we are today....love the channel...will definitely watch!
My favorite player in the history of the sport but “don’t kick it to Hester” is how his career ended sadly. They started kicking it out of bounds when he was on the field so he lost his job out of them being scared
Always always ALWAYS choose the Joseph Vincent highlight vid, it's so well created and it gives you shivers and it makes you feel like you're in the play
Or college stadiums. The Big House at University of Michigan is the craziest stadium I've been in, and then you have Death Valley in LSU... the list goes on
The Hester Superbowl game opening kick return was one of the most hype moments that ive ever had as a chicago sports fan. He was awesome through his whole career and i was always a fan, you should check out his last game was totally amazing but ruined by penalties.
Devin Hester was the kind of player that EVERY single time he got the ball YOU wondered what great thing you would see him do. The must electrifying football player I've ever seen. Devin Hester was absolutely ridiculous. My only regret is that I can't watch him score touchdowns anymore.
I feel like that video was showing his highlights in slow motion sometimes. Hester at normal speed is really where you see how explosive and impressive he was. It's funny how you mention "dont kick it to Hester"........that was literally the mantra of the NFL for that decade and Hester had long droughts where he didnt get any touchdowns because teams would just kick the ball out of bounds rather than give him a chance. He literally changed games by his sheer presence alone. You are absolutely right you would have been excited every time he got the ball......you could really feel the electricity and anticipation in the air in his home stadium in Chicago every time he stepped on to the field or caught the ball.
Also, so many of Hester’s returns have to be considered contextually. So many were late game, to take the lead, or a second return to win the game when the Bears offense could only kick field goals. The Bears/Cardinals on MNF was the all-time Devin Hester game. Grossman turns the ball over several times, and Hester and the Bears defense scores four times ti win the game. “The Bears are who we thought they were!!!!!”
The only thing that was missing from the Hester video you watched was some context. One of those returns was the opening kickoff in the superbowl and another was in an Amazing game where the Bears came back from a 3 to 23 deficit in the fourth quarter to take the lead and the win 23-24. Great Videos!
The player footwork while running is similar but the majority of the play styles are different. It's hard to get a comparison because you have to get very similar clips but with rugby everything is in front of you where in american football opponents can be anywhere around you. The thing about american football is that depending on your position your footwork can be very different like a DB is different to a WR. and my fades when I played scrumhalf was more like a RB in american football.
Devin is super athletic. Halas hall was just up the road from where I worked at a bowling alley and dude would roll up in his purple pimpmobile after practice and bowl a few games. Dude shot 300 one day crosslane and I was like... no way. Looked it up in the system and NO edits were made. Crazy and this is coming from a dude with multiple 300s and 800s in competition
Currently, I'd definitely say Shady has the best jukes, but I'd have to go with Barry Sanders all-time. It's close, but Barry to me is the epitome of elusive.
I was a Bear fan and I was able to watch almost all of the games that Devin played in while a Bear. There were many returns that didn't go for a touchdown that were better than some of his returns that did. There were even a few touchdown returns that were wiped out due to a holding penalty on a Bear player.
Dude I just found your channel it's amazing seeing everything from an outside perspective. You should watch "NFL best sack avoids all-time (qb scrambles)"
Jamaal Charles, went from participating in Special Olympics as a kid; to a leading rusher in the NFL. 10.13 100 meter; Running Back. NFL record 5.4 career yards per carry for a running back
Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater for some serious tackling, back when you were allowed to play defense. Lott was such an animal that he had his broken pinky finger amputated rather than rebuilt so he could be ready for the next season.
Big KC Chiefs fan so these are some players I'd like to see you react to. Tyreek Hill who's the fastest player in the NFL. Kareem Hunt who led the league in rushing yards as a rookie last year. Eric Berry who plays safety, is the leader of the team and overcame cancer! Travis Kelce one of the best tight ends in football. Derrick Thomas who's not only a Chiefs legend but one of the best pass rushers in NFL history. Love the videos, keep it up!
At 3:45, when you catch the ball in the end zone on a kickoff or punt, you have the option to kneel and "down" the ball. If you do, they automatically advance you to the 20 yard line and your team starts from there. He hesitated there to make the defense slow down because they thought he was downing it. It gave him an advantage even if for a second, that's why he did that.
The difference between Devin Hester and the average kick returner was that he has a complete understanding of his speed and physical capabilities and it influenced which cut to take, on the fly. His agility at full speed was off the charts. He holds the record for total combined kick and punt returns in NFL history and it's unlikely that record will ever come close to being broken, with recent changes to punt/kickoff rules and the avg. career span of an NFL kick returner only being 3yrs.
love your videos. you should see some of these players in college - absolutely hilarious. check out one of your favorites - barry sanders/ charles woodson at the college level.. looked like a video game!
Some highlight suggestions: - Snow games - Colts vs. Bills wk 14 (this past season) & Lions vs. Eagles 2013 - Super Bowl 52 (SB LII) - Most full highlight videos for this are long because it was a great game. Watch the NFL version. - HOF player Brian Dawkins (Joe Vincent version). The "Brian Dawkins Tribute" video is actually a short but great bio made by NFL Films. His home field intros were epic. Not sure if there are many different ones here on youtube (unfortunately).
Of note, Hester was drafted as a cornerback and played in the defensive backfield in nickel situations the first couple of seasons until they realized his return skills were such, they needed to save him for all returns only. The Bears anemic offense is what led to his receiver days.
What you might not know about 4:58 was that it was the opening play of the game, and that it was pouring down with heavy rain which would have made it a lot easier for him to slip.
Deion Sanders was also the best cornerback ever, a 2 time NFL champion, and a hell of a major league baseball player (which he played while he was still in the NFL).
That was perfect! Do not kick to Devin Hester was a thing. Teams would actually kick out of bounds to stop him. And yes Every time that guy got his hands on the ball I would be on the edge of my seat. I miss that dude.
If there were more to see of it, I'd suggest watching the Fog Bowl to see what the NFL players through. That and maybe the game in Buffalo when the power went out and pros had to play like it was highschool again
Do Chris Johnson! If you like speed and steps he is the running back to watch, one of the fastest running backs of the past 10 years and a former track runner, amazing acceleration.
I forget if they call it a coffin corner punt but they used to just kick it as far as they could in the corner n it either went out of bounds making the team start there or corner him in. On kick return they would kick low so a lesser receiver had to return it
Look up the "Minneapolis Miracle" if you want to get chills. Not a Vikings fan but if you look up the sideline video of that, you'll have a real appreciation for the NFL and it's fans
it is fun as a huge football fan to watch people just learn about great players. some great suggestions sofar, but i would love to see you watch a modern day wr like antonio brown or odell beckham jr.
The reason he stood still after he caught the kick, is because if special teams or defense obtains the ball in the end zone (place designated for a touchdown), they can take a knee and the ball automatically advances to the 20 yard line for the offense. So he acted as if he was going to take a knee... but then turned up on em
If you havent check out Chris Johnson. Until last combine he had the fastest 40 yard dash at 4.28 seconds. He is one of 6 people to have a 2000 yard rushing season.
Please do a reaction video to Dante Hall. His return against the Broncos in game 5 of the 2003 season was the nastiest kick return in NFL history hands down.
Also I recommend watching the highlights made by a TH-camr named Joseph Vincent for these videos. I am in no way affiliated with him, but he does a nice job of adding commentator's audio that explain some of the player's career highlights in the background. I feel it would help you out as someone who is not as knowledgeable about football as us Americans.
Calvin JOHNSON (Megatron) 6 foot 5 beast
Original Buddy Guy YAAAASS!!! 🔥👍🏻
Best Receiver ever
definitely do a Mike Vick react
Adam Shaw His brain would explode
He made one it’s just not working for me. Says it got copyright struck
+Chad Landers I just watched it. lol.
He did
These highlights looked like they were in slow motion, you need to watch them in realtime to appreciate his greatness. Also if you want to see someone with insane speed watch Ted Ginn jr's return highlights.
Brandin Blades yes they were slow
React to RANDY MOSS u won’t be disappointed
Thanks for being yourself. Lol original commentary
Yes.
"A disgusting act from Randy Moss"
The GOAT!!
But can a Rugby fan appreciate deep bombs?
As a Bears fan, this makes me happy to remember when they were a solid team. You should check out Matt Forte and Walter Payton.
I had no idea who this guy was a few hours ago and now I've watched every one of his videos. Excellent reaction videos. It's awesome seeing an athlete from one sport watch and appreciate videos from a different sport they are not too familiar with.
Ray Lewis please!! Complete animal extremely electrifying. Most heart and hardest hits. preferably the video by Joseph Vincent.
Mr. Scoot Scooter yeah after i commented lmao
TranQuil he did
king waller “5 days ago”
Devin Hester was the guy you stood up to watch during every kick return. Teams literally made it a point to kick it out of bounds to avoid kicking to him. He was a game changer and an amazing person in general.
Michael Vick! Would be an amazing video, he was so good, he was basically a cheat code in a game.
Don't know how I found the channel but I love how you actually show respect to the NFL greats. Keep it up.
You should react to Brian Urlacher
Darcy Harlow 👍👍👍👍👍👍
DA BEARS!!
yea and Walter Payton, gale sayers, the whole 1985 bears defense, dick butkus im not biased
Charles Tillman wouldn’t be a bad one either
UAB?
that Vikings @ Bears game around 7:47 was a great one to see in person. Adam Shaw you when back on that one. Great suggestion!
That McArn Guy oh shit I remember that 😂😂😂😂
Devin Hester has been one of my favorite players since I was little. You should post some videos of you in rugby, I'd love to see it since I just recently started playing

Oh I've seen him alright lol
Awesome dude. Sorry just started watching your videos so I wasn't sure. Keep up the good work, man.
Will Clements LT was a straight up beast. Nobody like him before or since. Greatest defensive player in the history of the NFL.
"Call the Fire Brigade, He set the grass on fire." LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!!! You're great!!!
You gotta watch Larry Allen!
Also you might enjoy Rickey Henderson in baseball
Dude playing football in the snow is the most fun you can have. Those games always feel magical.
Dante Hall next the human joy stick
MrRamon863 he doesn't compare to mr hester
Yes. I echo this.
I was about to comment that. The X factor is a legend.
Tyreek Hill
No that title goes to Tarik Cohen of the bears seeing that's his actual nickname
I have never subscribed to any channel before, but I have to say that I enjoy watching you react to the NFL from a rugby player perspective. Always always ALWAYS choose the Joseph Vincent highlight vid, it's so well created and it gives you shivers and it makes you feel like you're in the play
React to Saquon Barkley, he's an actual machine. The best rookie running back last year in college football.
We watch your videos because deep down Americans love watching Australians athletes talk about our sports.
React to LaDainian Tomlinson hes got some of the best runs of all time!!
I like the way you break that down.
For not being from the states, you've got a pretty good understanding about what's going on...
Ya, do randy moss please
I tell you as a rival fan of the Vikings, I was excited any and everytime Devin Hester touched the ball.
My favorite player of all time
His speed can only truly be appreciated if you see it live. It's a whole other spectacle.
You should honestly just react to current NFL stadiums, they're crazy
Fax
Or college stadiums. The Big House at University of Michigan is the craziest stadium I've been in, and then you have Death Valley in LSU... the list goes on
Look up the Kansas City Chiefs stadium. It's called Arrowhead stadium. LOUDEST IN THE WORLD!!!
The Hester Superbowl game opening kick return was one of the most hype moments that ive ever had as a chicago sports fan. He was awesome through his whole career and i was always a fan, you should check out his last game was totally amazing but ruined by penalties.
Aaron Rodgers if you wanna see the highest level of throws you'll ever see
I second this, best thrower of the ball possibly ever, and he's a Green Bay Packer :P
Him and Elway are the best physically talented QBs imo
.....
To be honest I watched the press conference for Matt and Devin and I shed some tears. They were two huge reasons I became a Bears fan.
You definitely need to check out Mike Vick. He was the quarterback but always the fastest guy on the field.
Devin Hester was the kind of player that EVERY single time he got the ball YOU wondered what great thing you would see him do. The must electrifying football player I've ever seen. Devin Hester was absolutely ridiculous. My only regret is that I can't watch him score touchdowns anymore.
lol Matt Fort. you're funny
david herzing He’ll hear someone pronounce it correctly
Four-tay
I feel like that video was showing his highlights in slow motion sometimes. Hester at normal speed is really where you see how explosive and impressive he was.

React to Richard Sherman and/or to Jalen Ramsey your gonna love it

or do Pat McAfee he's a punter but the dudes got some highlights.
Ha I thought I was the only idiot who would suggest him
Or, remember Neil Rackers? That guy was nuts. I can't even count how many times he kicked off and made the special teams tackle of the kick returner.
The only thing that was missing from the Hester video you watched was some context. One of those returns was the opening kickoff in the superbowl and another was in an Amazing game where the Bears came back from a 3 to 23 deficit in the fourth quarter to take the lead and the win 23-24. Great Videos!
remember that the average football gear adds up to 20 pounds
Chur love how they shorten up their strides mid flight, what an athlete.
Why don't you try and put rugby players against these videos to teach the American audience the similarities and differences in players and positions?
J .dV he does at times
RAID3R63 oh okay
The player footwork while running is similar but the majority of the play styles are different. It's hard to get a comparison because you have to get very similar clips but with rugby everything is in front of you where in american football opponents can be anywhere around you. apples and oranges dude 2 different games
If you want to see some real good moves you need to watch Lesean McCoy or Alvin Kamara. McCoy has the best juke ever I promise you’ll love it.
Peyton Hodge Dante Hall
Currently, I'd definitely say Shady has the best jukes, but I'd have to go with Barry Sanders all-time. It's close, but Barry to me is the epitome of elusive.
Watch Dante halls punt return against Denver best juke move ever !
Peyton Hodge kamara in 5 years may have the best HL tape ever
Barry Sanders is the most elusive back ever. It’s not even close.
Great vid! Devin Hester's college highlights are unreal!
Hey I am new but you should react to Barry Sanders and Michael Vick
Emmanuel Garcia he's done sanders already but vick would be nice
I was a Bear fan and I was able to watch almost all of the games that Devin played in while a Bear. There were many returns that didn't go for a touchdown that were better than some of his returns that did. There were even a few touchdown returns that were wiped out due to a holding penalty on a Bear player.
Do Mike Vick he is crazy lol
Devin is THE example of being great at what you do. He wasn't Julio Jones or Antonio Brown, but no one could do what he did the way he did. Legend.
Do Alvin Kamara or Leonard Fournette
TheGranklin they only have one year under their belts. Give it some time.
2 am for me and I've been binge watching your videos. Love the content brother. Awesome. Keep doing you.
It was crazy how every time he was back there we all expected him to make something to happen and he always did !!!
Dude I just found your channel it's amazing seeing everything from an outside perspective. You should watch "NFL best sack avoids all-time (qb scrambles)"
The reason the kick return TD against the colts was so crazy was because it was the first kickoff/play of the superbowl, and he took it to the house.
Would love to see you break down some top rugby plays. Would be cool to see a break down of that sport as an American.
Randomly came across the videos and they’re goodddd. Keep doing your thing man!
Whats good love how u show some of the rugby highlights its really catching my interests.waiting for the ed reed reaction.greatest safety of all time
Jamaal Charles, went from participating in Special Olympics as a kid; to a leading rusher in the NFL. 10.13 100 meter; Running Back. NFL record 5.4 career yards per carry for a running back
THEE GOAT!! Loved Hester. Was my favorite of all time
That was a good, tough , hard working team. Hester was fun to watch
It gave him an advantage even if for a second, that's why he did that.
Dante Hall. His nickname was the human joystick. One of the most elusive players ever. He was an improvisational artist.
I don't know if you're strictly doing NFL highlights, but you should definitely check out Devin Hester's college highlights. PHENOMENAL.
When a runner makes the tackler miss him on a misdirection play ! It's called " Juekin' his socks off " !!!....................... LOL !!!
love your videos. you should see some of these players in college - absolutely hilarious. check out one of your favorites - barry sanders/ charles woodson at the college level.. looked like a video game!
Some highlight suggestions:
- Snow games - Colts vs. Bills wk 14 (this past season) & Lions vs. Eagles 2013
- Super Bowl 52 (SB LII) - Most full highlight videos for this are long because it was a great game.
Devin Hester my dude.. greatest returner ever hands down
You talked about us playing on ice, Check out the Ice Bowl !!! The word is BRUTAL !!!
Keep up the great work! You won't find much film of him but check out Jim Brown. Widely recognized as the greatest football player who ever lived.
What you might not know about 4:58 was that it was the opening play of the game, and that it was pouring down with heavy rain which would have made it a lot easier for him to slip.
Just as amazing in his college highlights as well.
There’s been two returns that were 109 yards, back off the endzone.antonio cromartie and cordarralle Patterson
I think you would love the miracle catch by Julian Edelman in the Super Bowl in 2017. A double catch by a smallish guy covered by beast men.
Deion Sanders was also the best cornerback ever, a 2 time NFL champion, and a hell of a major league baseball player (which he played while he was still in the NFL).
It's funny how he was saying "don't kick it to Hester" when that was literally the league strategy for like 3 years
That was perfect!
Love these NFL reaction videos. I've watched all of you reactions consecutively. Would love to see you react to Randy Moss or Calvin Johnson
Laterals are good "rugbyesque" plays, some are planned but mostly a last ditch effort to score at the end of the game. Definitely a must watch!!
We were pumped every single time a team kicked to him, especially his first three years in the league.
Devin hester even performed under highest pressure...1st play of Superbowl. RIDICULOUS!
DEVIN HESTER ALL TIME. HE WAS A BEASTTTTTT IN COLLEGE BROOO
I think you would most enjoy a Alvin Kamara highlight reel. he was a rookie running back last year.
Please do a reaction video to Dante Hall. His return against the Broncos in game 5 of the 2003 season was the nastiest kick return in NFL history hands down.
Yesss! Thank you! I saw Walter Payton on Wikipedia at 1:27, I hope he's coming up soon!
I case nobody has mentioned it yet, running a kickoff back for a touchdown is VERY rare in the NFL.
josh cribbs was one of the all-time great kick/punt returners too
