Just finished putting mine back together. Got a HVK like a month ago for $200 from a guy who daily drove it since new and though it was surprisingly clean, it had obviously never been re-pasted. Temps weren't even bad, but some NT-H2 still ought to help. Thanks for the video!
Kudos for this. Have the HNK version using it not even for gaming but just as a PC on my 4k tv and it has blue screened on me repeatedly since new. I tried everything I could think was the issue until today finding a post on Intel support forums where a user had overheating issues (which cause blue screen). Intel support gave the usual run around. Then the user posts that he changed out the paste and saw a drop in avg temps which improved the behavior. Intel responds "that will void your warranty" LOL if I had known this UNDER WARRANTY I would not be out chasing phantoms!! So I'm going to try this hopefully my avg temps come down and it stops crashing. Intel should know better given their bread and butter is the CPU. Thank you so much for this to get me through.

No. GPU always needs alot more than a CPU does because they don't handle hotspots very well besides too much paste is a myth, it means nothing, it just gets pushed out if theres too much. You're better off buying a prebuilt if you can't think for yourself and just barf out garbage from youtubers you watch. Use common sense, it helps.
Quick tip: An ice cube tray or pill dispenser is great for keeping screws and small components safe and separated

There aren’t many drivers available since Intel dropped support for this product. You can find hacked drivers on GitHub
