Hi, I hope we haven’t replied to late to you! But yes it is our first time on that trail, we thought it was very nice and very well blazed for following the path. Our only suggestion is to just spend the time planning, be safe, and have all the fun you can! When we were planning for this trip we came across this hilarious REI video that we thought had a lot of great info as to how to handle bathroom issues out in the wild, it’s worth checking out too! th-cam.com/video/PbAMO7gSEOI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fIqrxdfdl_GtFoWN
Thanks for the comment on filming style! We are still working on how all exactly we film these backpacking episodes, one of our main goals is to definitely be able to show the surrounding areas.
100% it’s best not to spend 1000+ dollars on gear when your just starting out! We have hiked with many other packs, just the camping from a backpack is new to us. There are so many good ways to get new gear for cheaper and we certainly did some shopping around for the new gear we tested in this episode. Shoot I think everything that was new gear in this episode like the packs and the tent was essentially all half price by the time we paid for them. Thanks for the comment, we hope new comers to backpacking see the comment as well and find budget friendly options as well!
nice place to hike and camp...I need to make it down there one of these days!
Watching here from Sydney Australia and very much enjoyed your video. I have subscribed cheers.
Awesome! We are so happy you liked the content. And thanks for the sub!
What do you use for communication? Can you use your cell phones if something happens?
Get a smaller compression bag
Thanks for the advice! We are hunting them down now for our next backpacking trip.
Hi 👋🏿 this is a great video as I am planning a backpacking trip next month. Is this your first time on this trail? Any other suggestions

First ever trip and you have $1100 in packs and tent alone. Good lord. Most people start off with a better budget setup
