Sir I am doing Mtech from NIT Jalandhar in textile Engg. This year I am getting an option to select an interdisciplinary branch named polymer science at IITRoorkee. Does this option is better in terms of Placement than my core branch (textile)?

@@EdSharpener there may be 30 students in M.tech every One has to do that work? if They are doing work for prof. Then when they are doing Study (academics) Attending Lec. Confusing me
The M-Tech study load is not as much as you have in Bachelors. Next, M-Tech students are paid through stipend for the TA/RA work. And the weekly TA load is 8 hours to 16 hours per week which means it is not a lot of time. In this time though a student has a great chance to learn from the respective professors, create Networks through professors and what not. M-Tech students are not just students, they are being groomed as Professionals. And this doesnt only happen in India. This happens all over the world.
@@EdSharpener sir what is neccesaary for a job in r&d. Like ibm labs, google r&d, or any other core r &d for cs/it. Is ms neccessary or what are the crtiteria for this. Do u know any senior who has got placed in r& d. Can u provide some knowlede. Can i get ur mail id..

Both are almost similar just the names vary according to what college you go to
RA/TA Placement Pe Koi Effect Dalte hai ?
If you are an RA the only difference is that your duration of degree is slightly more. But no significant difference in placements

RA have a little more stipend, and profs can bring in more funds if the project hours are demanding

Not good as per core branch placements perspective but overall its a good one if you are ok with non core jobs too

Is it easy to get TA stipend in any iisc, iiT or nit??
Not matter of easy or difficult you anyway will get it as long as you perform your duties

Ur respective dept hod or the incharge must forward u the required mail.
If nt ,then u can always mail the registrar asking fr the same.
