Much deserved coach not only have you reignited my passion for throwing but you've gotten me to understanding throwing in a way I've never been able to before! So happy to see you hit this milestone, with great content and a great heart like yours I know you are gonna reach even greater heights! I always tell the kids I volunteer coach for, that you are one of the greatest resources they could use! I, and this whole community, appreciate everything! Thank you coach! :)

I’ve said this before. Seriously this is by far THE best javelin youtube channel. Period and you are not just a fenomenal thrower with an impeccable technique, but also a generous person to share the heart and soul of this sport. Thank you.Well deserved subscribers!!

@@coachhalley I have a lot to thank you for. In my free time I coach a young female thrower with great talent who is a national champion and whenever I go to this channel in search of inspiration, I find the right answers

I love how all of your content is different and unique, not just you average throwing drills/mindsets but different, I love how you stay true to making content and providing real world tips that count. I also love how you are very interactive with us. As a high school thrower your videos have made me a better thrower and pick up the sport in a new way. Thank you so much for everything that you do!

Thanks so much for those kind words! I try my best make videos that matter and not just the same stuff you find other places online. My goal is to continue doing that. Thanks again for the support!!

Hey Scott. As a fellow coach in the UK, I think your content is great. I have a large squad of javelin throwers and often send them your videos to reinforce what I'm coaching them. The way you explain the technique makes it easy for anyone to learn to throw. Well done :)

I truly appreciate that! I’m glad your kids have a great coaching supporting them. Javelin is tough. I hope they know how fortunate they are to have you!

Hey Scott, I was thinking about you yesterday, I was applying your simple 3 steps to progress at the javeline and I succeeded. Thank you, thank you

How’s it going coach. I need to throw 25 more feet and I need your help. I’ve fixed a few little things over the season and my throws have improved. I feel like the jav kind of slips out of my hand (maybe) and the jav has a sort of direct path but wobbles a little before sticking in. My coach also says that my angle of release is too low but I’m not sure how true that is because it feels and travels terrible when I change it. Thanks for your input and congrats on 10k

Im in grade 10 and i suck at javelin. I can throw just over 30 meters (600g javelin, switching to 800 next year). I know i am not throwing high enough, but when i try to throw high the tail always drops really bad in the air and it doesn't go further. Any ideas how to throw higher also through the point?

Potential your body is on its way down as your throwing. That can often prevent your hand from raising up through the point of the javelin. Maybe get behind your block and let that deflect your body up into the flight line of the throw. You could also just think to keep your chest up more and watch the javelin fly. Lots of ways to go about it but I couldn’t say for sure unless I saw you throw. Best of luck out there! Keep practicing!
