Tours and Tournaments is easily the most influential DLC of CK3. It just added way too much. Added new layer of interaction, new ways to plot and befriend. New things to do, new events to sink your time into. Also underrated detail people forgot about - levelled traits were added with this dlc. Brilliant integration with other DLCs. Impacted the whole game. Similarly to Roads of Power, it impacts the entire game.
Royal Court was a complete misallocation of resource by Paradox imo. At a time when the core gameplay needed improving, they prioritized creating unnecessary cosmetic renderings that no one ever even looks at or interacts with

I always look forward to becoming a king and finally having court, it's a milestone in most of my games.

I think the issue is that Legends of the Dead is very expensive and also basically nothing. Now, that’s due to a lot of its content being in the free update. But it makes the DLC even worse in comparison.
I do in general agree with this ranking on all but one dlc which is Legends of the Dead. While I do not particularly care so much for legends (it's ok to have them there should I ever want to do them), legitimacy is ok and plagues are good and much needed. It was important to add to the game something that will pose a bit of challenge and create some setbacks for the player in a game that otherwise just seems too easy too often.
what the game need like stranded in the desert that needs water is a new combat system, or bringing back Ck2s system. but in general i agree with the list, maybe id put tours in front of the roads.

Sure, most of the good stuff is free, but that's also true of Legacy of Persia. If I'm remembering correctly, the rework of clan governments came with the free patch, so it's got a similar situation with the (arguably) best parts being the free content.
I would put Fate of Iberia at D or F even. When it came out I really liked it but as I played with it more I started to dislike it. Not only is it jank and flat out unfun to play with in some scenarios but it doesn't have that much flavor, one of the endings is nonsensical and it simply hasn't received the post-release support it needs in order to be good.

Now feels like vital expansion to have. Northern Lords still the goat though. Roads to Power came close but I think Vikings and the earlier start date cannot be overthrown. Best DLC/Flavor Pack whatever you wanna call it.
If you separated Royal Court to two DLCs the culture part would be S tier and the actual court would be C or D. I completely agree with Fate of Iberia but I see it as a testing ground on the new weird interactions that was the blueprint for the Intermezzo, and the England mini-struggle, and various small things like the join war/faction adventurer contracts. It was also fun to play in. The ability to join other people's war before adventurers came was great and I wish they gave this mechanic to landed characters outside of iberia in the form of a tradition or something.
@@Soul_Tomato People have this weird expectation of forever maintenance/updates. CK 3 alone has a bigger team than a lot of games combined (No Man's Sky, Terraria, Stardew Valley for example), they can't rely on-ongoing sales to keep the development going, they would have to move on to a new project. Just look at Dragon Age: Veilguard, the development team has already moved on to join the Mass Effect project because it wasn't deemed financially worth it to dedicate a team to work on a DLC. They also weren't ever going to able to add the near 10 years worth of added content into a new project (CK 2 to CK 3), it's just too much money and time for an already risky business.
This is a nice list. I just started playing yesterday (Vanilla Game) as I bought it when it came out and never played it. Would you recommend playing Vanilla first and then adding some of these? It's overwhelming as it is so curious what people recommend.
It's difficult to say really, I think it's each to their own. I've played the game from when it came out and brought the dlc as and when. I think if I had played the game for the first time with all the dlc's added- it would probably be overwhelming for me. But that's just me, I'd say you could add at least the dlc from chapter 1 and see how you get on?
@@Soul_Tomato does the tutorial change with the DLCs added? I finished the tutorial and was left with some land, became the king of Ireland and then lost it so a nephew cause I changed the succession law not understanding what I was doing. I'm going to start over so curious if that changes
I'd put roads to power s tier everything else c,d or f because the rest of the dlc just don't compare. Some should have been in the release version and I'm sure they already had it in mind or already available just to charge for it in a dlc release
Royal Court really need some new DLC's integration, is a nice idea but they never expand on it , also for me Roads to Power and T&T is a Draw, both added so much to the game that i cant say one is better ....

I found out about this game hearing about the mod about a week ago and I’ve seen a handful of videos and I’ve purchased the game but I don’t know how to play the game. I love the world of song of ice and fire and imagine I will be totally engrossed but does anyone have a suggestion on some videos I can watch about playing CK3+AGOT for a new player?
friends and foe and wards and wardens the same tier as iberia is wild, I genuinely dont ever notice friends and foes and didnt remember it was a dlc going into this. Its probably the worst dlc. Legends of the dead is the worst for the price but at least you do notice legends.
To be honest I didn't like the Tours and Tournaments initally becouse of the way it changed the development. In the way that you now had to unlock new building slots by reserching them. Whereas before you had them unlocked from the start.
I kinda agree except with roads to power. Personally I rate it C. Admin it's super easy, boring as vassal and lags the crap out of the game. Landless it's kinda boring, only not boring way is be swords for hire then you become so extremely overpowered that it's fun for maybe 3 runs. Not mercenary jobs are walk around and wait a bar to fill which it's really boring IMO. Chapter 3 didn't improve the game by any means, yeah they added stuff which are boring, overpowered or don't matter at all like all admin new schemes.
@@purpleey Friends and Foes expand the "memory" of characters so you can make more ennemies and plege loyauty to a friend, and AGOT is much more axed toward RP than expansion and map painting so yes, I count FF in the list. The principe of nemesis and chilhood crushes is very well placed in AGOT

I love royal court, in every game my first goal is to become a king just to make sure I have a court, to me it brings more life to my kingdom
