Thanks so much. A lot of people use the MISTI stamping platform. I don't think the brand matters but the idea of being able to easily stamp an image repeatedly in the same location is a game changer!
If you understand basic color theory (so easy) then you will understand why certain colors give you mud. Complimentary colors mixed together give brown - blue and orange, red and green, yellow and purple. TFS - love this video and love that stamp set!❤❤❤❤
Yes I use colour theory in my work regularly, however I don’t always talk in those terms for videos because some crafters find it a bit intimidating. It is good knowledge to have if you enjoy working wet on wet like I do. These inks are so much fun to create with and so was this stamp set!
Love your cards and all of the different techniques! You popped up on my feed out of the blue and I am so glad you did. New subscriber and can’t wait to see more !
@@ChelseyVorosmarty I can totally relate to the bee aversion. While I do love them in nature, I never want to be stung again after a very bad reaction when I was young.
I love your cards and techniques! Your cards turned out beautiful! I really want to get those gold watercolors. I am a new subscriber and going to watch this again to see how you did everything! Tfs!
New to your channel and I am obsessed with the technique you used. Love me some distress oxide! Will have to try the baggie technique & your cards are so nice! And the gold watercolors! Chef’s kiss! ❤❤❤
You are so welcome! Drying the layers makes a HUGE difference along with what colours you're mixing while wet. I hope you get your inks out and have a play!
The gloss sprays do absorb the color underneath tho. I noticed that with your card. Its happened to me also. The BEST white for splatter is the Dr Ph Martins Bleed proof white. Ive tried EVERY white splatter option out there. Cute cards.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll have to track some of that down. I have used micro glaze to seal my pieces to prevent the colour transfer, but it’s not something I remember to do regularly.
It’s hard to say exactly because it depends on how much you use them and I would imagine that it also depends on how dry your climate is and how long you leave the ink pads open when working. I’ve reinked a handful of mine once or twice so I think they last pretty well just not as long as a traditional dye based ink that can go years without reinking.
@@ChelseyVorosmarty thanks. I just bought mine. Never used them before so didn't know really what to expect. After 2 days they are very dry. Worked for about 3 hours, but was conscious to keep the lid on. I think I'm sending them back to Amazon. They are a cool medium though.
@herbalannie7707 the problem is who knows how long they’ve been sitting on the shelf. They shouldn’t be that dry. I’ve typically had months of use out of mine before needing to reink.
Chelsey, just found you. Love your techniques now that close to my heart is quitting business. Are you going to stay with the stamping up company? I don’t want to lose you..
The first 2 techniques I'm pretty familiar with, but I've tried that third one. Have to give it a try! Is this set only available to VIPs? I didn't see it on the website.
I hope you give that third technique a try, it’s so much fun! This was the July Stamp of the Month. Each month there is a different featured stamp and it’s only available for that month. It’s available to all customers at full price or for a discount with a $60 order. VIPs can get it free with a $60 order. Those numbers are Canadian so if you’re in a different country prices will be different. Here is a link to see the current stamp of the month chelsey.closetomyheart.ca/ctmh/promotions/sotm.aspx I have a video coming soon using this one too!
I would have never thought to spray the bee in the third card to let it bleed some. Brilliant!
It’s such a great way to add colour! Fast, easy and a little artsy looking too!
These are so Beautiful 🐝
I love the stamp platform. I’ve never seen this before.

Hi, Chelsea. I came across this video today and really enjoyed it. Of course, I subscribed!!
Welcome and thank you for subscribing!
Love all the layering and colours. Fabulous set of cards with this gorgeous SOTM.
The layering is the fun part for sure! I don't really like bees after being stung several times as a small kid, but this one is pretty. lol

Live these. Great color techniques. I am going to try the 3rd one. I really love that.
Yay, thank you! Have fun creating!
Great cards love your technique guess I need some water color paper to try this! TFS enjoyed
You can definitely try it without watercolour paper but I like the results better with it. Have fun experimenting!
Love these cards!
Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love all the excitement!
So pretty! Just when I think the card is complete, you add another layer that makes the card even better!
The magic of adding layers…it never gets boring!
Love these techniques and cards Chelsey! I’m excited to give these techniques a try. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😊 I hope you have fun playing!
Love that technic it’s very cool!!
Beautiful!
Love these thanks 😊
Thanks!
Lovely lovely cards Chelsea. It’s been a while since I’ve had inky fingers so I think I’ll have to make some of these.
Thank you! I hope you have fun getting inky!
Very nice!
Thanks!
Beautiful cards! Love the techniques!
Thank you!
thank you for more ideas on how to use my distressing inks. They tend to sit in their box way too long...

@@ChelseyVorosmarty I've done that too. Def try the no bleed. It's amazing.
So pretty
Thank you!
Thank u for the ideas! Is the bee the beehive stamp available to purchase?
No it was only available in July. I replied to your email faster, so hopefully you got that.
Where do you get the gold pants from 😊❤
I got them from Amazon and love them!

How long do these pads last before they need reinking?
It’s hard to say exactly because it depends on how much you use them and I would imagine that it also depends on how dry your climate is and how long you leave the ink pads open when working. I’ve reinked a handful of mine once or twice so I think they last pretty well just not as long as a traditional dye based ink that can go years without reinking.
