    Thank you for your offering your insightful observation on what is prevalent in our societies. No doubt, it is clear that as fellow human beings, we all regardless of nationalities and differences, must respect each others. Arrogant and selfish behaviors will only cause the downfall for those who behave as such. On a personal note as a true blue Singaporean, while in Malaysia, generally I find most people of all races, I interacted to be friendly, humble and helpful.
    So thank you Mr. Loo, for your effort and time creating these useful and informative videos.

    I'm sure you can talk about cohesion without bashing Singaporeans and projects all Singaporeans to be thinking highly of themselves because they are richer. Being "humble" in front of certain group of individual because they are poorer won't make them feel any better, nothing to do with nationality.

Let’s not stir things further when the majority don’t 😂. Everywhere have Hao Lian people even Indians, Malaysians, Chinese, angmo etc. ignore them. Never compare, don’t need to compare, silly to even waste energy to compare.

  • @64ytb
    @64ytb 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

    So right, Mr Loo. So what we are richer? We need to learn to be humble. This is one of the reasons why Malaysians don't like Singaporeans. The local rich are too snobbish. We live more in the mind than in the heart. We think too much but can’t feel anything.
    Full respect to you Mr Loo. You are not just rich in the bank. You are also rich in your heart. This is true wealth. God blessed you with material wealth and wisdom. Youa re a true gentleman. What’s the point of bring rich in your pockets but poor in your heart? You are no better than a begger.
    Many Malaysians actually dislike Singaporeans because of their snobbish attitude. The mind only has division. But the heart has oneness. When we die, God will not ask how much millions we make during our lifetime. He simply don't give a deem even if you are as rich as Buffet, He will only ask what good have we done in our lifetime.

I have repeated emphasised that the purpose of my JB video is not to flaunt but to educate Singaporeans on their retirement options. And what is there is flaunt when the house is less than the worth of even a singapore 4room resale flat. If I want to flaunt, wouldn’t it be to show off all the wealth I have accumulated? Flashy cars that I drive and expensive restaurants that I dine in?

    We Malaysians don't need too much money to live well in Malaysia. There are always avenues for Malaysians, even with low income to live frugally in our home country, especially back in our hometowns and kampongs. So we don't lose sleep over having 7 times less money for our top 1 per cent income earners .....
    Whereas in Singapore, because of the heightened cost of living and, err, leasehold status of properties and cars as you mentioned, Singaporeans really needed to make more. But this is also the case in advanced Asian economies like Hong Kong, Korea and Japan. Only difference is that, unlike Singapore, these countries do not do income comparisons with Malaysia ......

    Recently CNA did one documentary about cheap medicine in Malaysia. I think this is self sabo as Sink-a-pore garmen might restrict our buying of medicine in order to help the clinic/pharmacy in Singapore. Best is to keep our mouth shut and continue to enjoy the discounted meds in malaysia. Also, go Malaysia don't say cheap cheap everywhere as this will irritate the citizens there.

I agree that many young and middle-aged Singaporean who are middle-class rich are arrogant, boastful, and have forgotten their humble parents who worked extremely hard to give their children good education.
    I hope rich and middle-class Singaporean must stay humble and have a compassionate heart.

Singaporeans use to have FIRE in OUR BELLIES.. but today... MALAYSIANs BELLIES are burning to do better than us Singaporeans. Lets learn to RESPECT with our NEIGHBOURs!!!

    I agree absolutely with what you say about how Malaysians are in fact no worse off than Singaporeans. In fact, Malaysians are a lot freer than Singaporeans. Take for example the freedomto buy and sell property. At will and without crippling taxes if they buy one, two or three or more properties, without being hit with Absd. N if they want to sell, they can just sell, without being hit by extra taxes if they sell under 3 years. Not so Singaporeans…

    Malaysians don't have to go anywhere else to buy affordable, quality goods/service unlike hmm..some people and have far far better lifestyle than Singaporeans who stay in HDB, no car etc yet try to show off. Furthermore, top 1% in Malaysia is not a true comparison to Singapore as Singapore is just a city. A better comparison would be say Klang Valley and Singapore. In Klang Valley, the top 1% would be about double that figure at US$1mil.

  • @Everything_positive_possible
    @Everything_positive_possible 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I cannot help but to agree with Mr Loo that our local press should stop this kind of comparison and give Singaporeans the misconception that we are really wealthy, or are we?
    We Singaporeans cannot but pride ourselves as one of the most expensive city in the world and that we are all millionaires by asset....but probably many are in debt by net assets, and even worst in pure cash terms. Having a high GDP per capital is also misleading if everything you buy is imported and High price.

    I agree with Mr Loo. Malaysians are more street smart when it comes to entrepreneurship. Partly because it is not so systematic when it comes to getting things done as the policies and regulations are not so straightforward, as compared to SG. This motivates the Malaysians to be better entrepreneurs.
    I would like to add, 1% of Malaysians is around 300k (30 Mil population). This would be 6% of SG's population. What would be the lowest 6% be worth in SG?
