I started following you a couple days ago, I can really relate to the things you talk about. I had the same problem a couple of years ago and did the same thing, I sat down with myself and connected with the path I think I should be walking. We need to connect more with ourselves, especially in music and music industry. You are amazing! I'm glad I found this shi out! 🌴🌴

    Generously and fair enough.
Thank you so much for sharing a piece of your true self with us, the viewers.

I like your approach, even when Buddha doesn't stand for perfection nor for calmness. He stands for conciousness. Beeing aware of every rule that you break. Perfection is subjective and calmness is not a target, it is a result. The result of doing your things in accordance to your nature.
Keep up the good work, I like your content. 😉👍

I've been making music in FL for about 5 months now and have been making music live for a long time before that. I noticed things that I don't understand: my brain doesn't understand that I'm making music here on the pc and after a while I don't find it fun anymore. I have more of an urge to make music in Fl than an urge to have fun with the music. live in a band or just for me, it was different. the fun motivated me to be better and to become the drummer that i am today. but now? I don't have fun anymore. i dig and dig and force myself with the sound design and with the mix and master. and in the end: i'm proud of my work. but the long process of producing sometimes just gets me into a black hole if my idea doesn't work out or i can't implement it.
that's my biggest problem with making music..

I just wanted to say hi dude! Found you 2 days ago and subscribed. I feel/felt the same way about many things you talk about in your videos. I mean like crushing self doubt, and wasting time on useless stuff, feeling like shit and so on. It's very true that shifting lifestyle changed things, and my productivity in music increased. Also my skills and sound are getting to a level that I could never imagine possible even a year ago. I make symphonic/folk metal, and record guitars and bass and vocals in my bedroom. I jumped out of bed at 5am to work on my stuff I am was so excited. Time to get off youtube and enjoy making music. See you and thanks for the videos

I am very glad you showed up in my feed. I've been trying to make my own beats and loops, not for money but for enjoyment. Trying to learn both what's acceptable to use and subsequently how to use it and make something I like I've gotten lost, frustrated, confused and so so very many conflicting opinions. Beat makers, loop makers, producers, samplers, the amount of people in a better creative position than myself all seem to know the answers but everyone's answer varies a bit... I feel like in your videos you are someone who has gone though this a bit more recently than all these established guys and gals with a bit of a following. I feel like anything I make is trash, subpar, mixed like hot dog water and on and on. I've considered just picking another hobby but I find its the same with any hobby and chasing it on youtube or soc period, just a flood of people doing better than me. Am I alone because I feel other normal people have to feel this in some way?

One thing that I've loved about making music is every act of music production in itself a way for me to understand who I am. What sounds I like, what progression I want this song to go in, etc. This self reflection through music is one way I'm finding some meaning in what I love; making music.

Man, you have already become a friend I don't know, but you understand 90% of my frustrations as a music producer. I am extremely happy to have found someone so young, yet so committed to understanding the whys of this journey in music where we find almost nothing but "more of the same" on the internet.
You motivate me to go beyond, and without needing third parties for that. Just looking inside.
Keep making this content so relevant. You already have the most important part of being a great artist: being a great person.

  • @kikibrnadic8788

I completely understand and relate to the part about talking to yourself... I talk to myself pretty much daily, sometimes it's for a short period (5-10 min) and sometimes throughout the entire day, so I'd say I'm pretty experienced with talking to myself. It still took me months to realize why I'm not enjoying what I'm learning at university and one day it dawned on me. I was never interested in what I am studying, I was always a video game nerd, I love video games and I was always interested in production of video games. I'm loving it, after a month I'm still very active in learning coding, working in a game engine, but also making music. (mostly electronic music though but I might eventually start doing sound design and music production for video games)
I haven't played less video games and watched this little youtube since I started university.
I'm yet to try journaling because I find it kinda boring, mostly because I don't know what to write.
Great video though, GIANT thumbs up for the talking with yourself part!!!

I relate with doing the same thing day by day, and just not having inspiration or ideas for my music, doing the same rutine and doing nothing that is not making a song, rn im trying to reorganize my life and my gf push me to keep doing what i like without what other people think, and thats 1 of the things im gratefull, also meeting new people, meeting your content since 2018 and having a lot of people around me who believe in me and what i do, and tnx for your videos im finding a way to improve, since 2020.
Hope to reach my goal of what i do and making songs constantly without forcing my self
