Ian i just listened to the song and when it finished my 2 year old girl said "My like that Daddy, again please!" which makes both of us. Well played and sung,u nailed it!
Wow! Outstanding! Perfect timing and tonality - spot on key and pitch - this has been one of my favorite songs for 50 years. You nailed it! Keep up the good work. Excellent talent.
Awesome! You covered one of Elvis Presley's signature songs and made it your own - a fantastic achievement. (AND, you did it without trying to impersonate the "King.") You have solid rock 'n roll chops, my friend - and great guitar skills. If you are not performing publicly, you definitely should do so. You are a solid musical entertainer in your own right. Very nicely done. Bring your gift to a paying public. Your deserve rich reward for your considerable talent.
oh yes , i play the song myself and either you have been playing guitar longer than me or i,m crap and the singing is supurb as well, brilliant God bless . Big Andy
iv have wached alot of ur vids and u sound great in every sigle one..... u have real potetial u should start righting ur own songs and mark my words ur going to world famous
very nice. your singing made me sing along with you the second time you played. my dogs the first time i played it were just looking at me. and the second time i played it when i sung along my dogs were howling at me. i guess i'm not as good as you. by the way you kinda look like bruce willis when you are singing this song
Hate Elvis...Love You, though! I had been thinking that the Fastball cover was my favorite for your voice, but this is a close second just because it shows to me how powerful and dynamic your voice really is. Put out a record, even if it is just covers...I'll buy it.
Steven, I'm not the greatest at explaining how to play songs, but here goes. The walk-up before the E is played on the A (5th) string. I use my middle finger to do it, as that's the finger I use on the 5th string for the E chord. play it open, then 1st fret, then 2nd fret. You then finger the rest of the E chord and hit the open E (6th) string. OK that's the E walk-up. There's no walk-up on the B7, I just alternate the 5th string 2nd fret with the 6th string 2nd fret. {Perhaps you mean the walk-up to the barred A chord? I just play frets 2, 4 and 5 on the E (6th) string as I walk up to that A. Hope this helps?
Second sting, open,1,2 then play the full E chord. Hope that helps. Remmber I'm usually tuned a half step down so it may sound odd if you're tuned standard and trying to play along.
Oh yeah! Now that's TALENT!!! Melted my heart!
Thanks for sharing!!

Ian,
Your eyes when you sing Elvis...it is clear it comes from your soul. This rendition, to me,
sounds like velvet feels...
Always,
Your Velvet

Hey ian can you teach me the fast licks beginning at the :50 mark?? Thanks
Hey Ian what notes are you walking up to at the 10 second mark?
Second sting, open,1,2 then play the full E chord. Hope that helps. Remmber I'm usually tuned a half step down so it may sound odd if you're tuned standard and trying to play along.
Can you send me the tabs or chords please?
