How to remove BMW E90 steering wheel airbag removal

Instructional video on how to remove the steering wheel airbag on a 2006 BMW 330i E90 and similar. Always make sure you disconnect your battery and wait for the system to discharge before working on the airbag system.

The angle at which you insert the driver to disengage the spring clips was on point. After 30 min and 3 vids, i got it in 10 seconds after this. Thank you !

i just want to take off the bulbous part to clean under, not gonna disconnect wires to the airbag. do I still need to disconnect battery first and wait?

The proper procedure is to always disconnect the batery when working on the airbag system.
