    The title is correct, this is definitely inspiring!! I love your mums garden, the way the family history is woven in all over the place, the love and care that’s clearly gone into it. A beautiful place for sure 🥰

    Loved seeing your mum’s garden. Those glass bottles would be so much better in the wind than the coke bottles I use!

    Thanks for sharing your family treasure trove garden🥰. Brings back fond memories of my late Grandmother's yard in Victoria..so different to a QLD garden. You really have inspired me to grow a variery of plants in garden areas...very keen for Spring &.Summer flowers to jump into action now 😊

    Thanks for the tour of your impressive garden! I have a big section and a vege garden and room for chooks, they are ex commefcial though and dont eat greens which is a pain. I have been ncreasing the fruit trees especially with the price increases. I think your passionfruit is what we call in the South Island a Black Passionfruit as it is ripe when it is black. The Walnut looks like the normal edible one. The chestnut however has an edible one and then a horse chestnut which are huge and round and arnt edible. Love your dogs, I have a Border Collie and she follows me everywhere :). Looking forward to following you in your garden ventures ❤

    Pineapple sage seems to prefer morning sun and some afternoon shade in Adelaide which is similarly hot and dry in Summer. The tubular flowers are loved by the beautiful Eastern Spinebill honeyeater. Really enjoyed the tour. Thanks.

      Haha 🙈 we have a very healthy population of slugs. I have heard the wood pigeons have been eating up a storm around here too 🌸🦜 I lost all my winter guavas to the parrots back in Perth.

      As a kid I remember my dad tying string around the base and lighting it with a candle. Then immediately after put it into cold water. The base broke off.

    Thank you. `🌸. Everythings looks amazing. So inspiring. May I ask, how do you use Pineapple Sage in your cooking please?

    • @SustainableHolly
      @SustainableHolly  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have been putting it in everything kind of like parsley 😅 a little bit chopped finely fresh in salads, added at the end of a stirfrys and then also how I would use regular sage in roasts. It is quite fragrant though so I feel like I need a little break for a bit 😂😅 The flowers are beautiful and have been using them in salads and to make shortbread 🌸

    Hi Holly, what a wonder home and garden, full of memories for you.🙂. I am in NZ Auck and wondering the best place to purchase pineapple and papaya plants from? Thank you for sharing❤

    • @SustainableHolly
      @SustainableHolly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Yvonne! All the pineapple plants have been saved from the tops of pineapples many years ago before the were removed for bio security import reasons. You can buy pineapples with the top still on at the Whangarei growers markets and regrow them 🌱
