Chester was so incredibly versatile as a singer. He is great in Linkin Park, and he does show of much of his ability there, but to fully appreciate his talent, you got to listen to some the diversity in what he did outside of LP; his first band Grey Daze, his band Dead By Sunrise, the live covers he did with super groups like Camp Freddy (like Highway To Hell: th-cam.com/video/hoNQdRA--ks/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dbgD4WM2LwuyL8L4), this cover of Adele's Rolling In The Deep, and more. Obviously he couldn't do everything, but it feels like he could do pretty much any type of song he decided to do, and do it well. I feel like recommending "And One", the performance from Rock am Ring 2001. It's a very different style from this, and not very typical of his performances with Linkin Park. It would be interesting to see what you think of that one. Here's a link for convenience: th-cam.com/video/OPhFQpLmYi4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Tw2JQiyBWFuUcuAK
He could sing anything. If you want to see something a little less emotional they do a great cover of "Wish" by Nine Inch Nails. ( Live Rock Am Ring 2004). Check out the crowd.
i just came back from school and what a lovely way to come back to 2 great videos made by 2 great people i loved both reactions, also gonna ignore how good these songs actually are 😭
If you like live songs, may I suggest Snuff by Corey Taylor live. He's the singer for Slipknot and Stone Sour. It's emotional for him and the crowd gets into it to help.
also since you guys are looking into different genres i think you should listen to warning by midwxst. he basically is one of the most kindest rappers i know because all his beats are made by his supporters he gives them a chance to actually show their talent also he does a style of music thats quite rare called Hyperpop which is like distorted beats and bassy and making your mic a bit muffled but yeah just a suggestion 😭
There will never be another Chester bless his soul even vocal coaches can't believe how good he was bless his soul
The goat didn't need auto tune!
R.I.P CHESTER ❤
