One of the highlights of my life was getting stuck in a traffic jam outside Detroit driving Steve Young around. We talked about this song because it is so hard to play lead guitar like that and sing at the same time. The live version he released long ago he felt caught the magic of the song but it is so hard to repeat magic. We had some deeply mystical talks back then and wish I could share the writing I'm doing on the sacred mountain called Pilot Mountain in Surry County, North Carolina. Think he would have gotten the same thrill I do there with the pyramid, the amazing pyramid shadow on the equinox, all the sun alignments and searching for more stone faces that to this day, after ten years of research, I can't figure out if they are man-made or natural. While I miss Steve a lot I know we'll meet again...
RIP Steve, you were a brilliant songwriter and performer! I was blessed to have the opportunity to share a stage with you. I will always treasure that experience.
March 17th, 2018 marks the second anniversary of my brother Steve's passing. I trust that he is traveling the cosmos somewhere, having found some answers to so many questions he had. Travel on brother and be well!!! We miss you.
Steve Young; for an authentic singer songwriter , dedicated solely to his craft and vision , it dont get much better than him . Do the man a favour --- buy all you can find of him .
I won't lie, I stumbled on his music on the internet when I fell in love with country music the likes of the 'Byrds', 'Flying Burrito Brothers', and 'Brewer and Shipley' (the later at my parents amusement lol). I eventually bought every album of steves I could get my hands on. He is an unknown legend. Check out his early stuff with Stone Country. mostly some cheesy 60s music but his song he wrote called "magnolias" is an amazing i feel some what biographic song about life in the south.
Steve was a brilliant guitarist. He owned many different types of guitars and could play all of them perfectly. It was his calling in life from an early age.
Not only was Steve a great performer and writer, he was also kind. I've been spreading his name when and wherever I can. Another great soul full song.

Steve Young is one songwriter I have to see before I die. Great guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He's in a league of his own.
