- I have had numerous requests to do a field strip on the Cetme battle rifle and I am very happy to do it. I enjoy not only working on firearms but also helping people through videos on TH-cam. I think we have a great community of gun owners or yt.
You are an asset to Cetme owners sir. Thank you very much!
I spent 45 minutes trying to figure out how to get the bolt to pop back out on my own. I found this video and was able to do it in 5 seconds. THANK YOU!
Appreciate you taking the time to make the video. Not new to guns but new to the Cetme. I like to see how it all goes together and comes apart.
Thank you for putting this video up.. I purchased one of these at a pawn shop and love it. I being an Army Vet am partial to the AR 15 types but I let my son pick this out and he made a GREAT choice... I am SO glad though the Army never used these because of the issue of take down time.. I dunno, maybe I will get it under a minute :D
I was frustrated trying to put the bolt carrier back. Thank you for your help. I believe this was the way the Internet was meant to be used.
Thank you. Had mine put up for a few years. Cleaned it and forgot I had to depress that spring to get the bolt forward. Thank you.
Scraped the fluting with a pic and re-applied lubricant. also applied a light amount of lubricant directly to the front of the ammo I was about to fire. Working perfectly, thank you.
best field strip of a setme, I had never done it before and did it step by step, cleaned it and the bolt actually charges now! THANKS!
'
Thanks much for this video, my fiance's dad just gifted us one and the manual was completely useless... Taking apart an AR seems fairly straight forward, but when I was looking at this I couldn't see how to disassemble it at all.... yet it was super easy. Now I can take it down and clean it.
Congrats, it really is a great rifle. Thanks so much for watching. : )
I spent almost one year of my life living with a CETME like this .... What a memories ..
Thank you for posting and sharing this field strip wisdom video.
So I finally got mine today used from a gun store down in Arizona. They wouldn't let me buy 7.62 and run it through it lol made me buy .308 also got the bolt stuck to the rear so I'm glad I found your videos and subed
Thanks I got a Cetme and wanted to know exactly how to break it down. Good Vid.
Thank you for the kind words. I will check out your channel as soon as time permits. I hope to drop by tomorrow. Thanks again. : )
Thanks I've owned a Cetme for 12yrs..never knew how to remove the hand guard :)
Yes, they are a good source for parts. Will be ordering this week.
thank you for making this video. i just inherited one of these and had no idea how to strip it, Greatly Greatly appreciated
Nowhere in the instructions does it say how to get the bolt carrier group back in.The trick to release the bolt was a life saver. Thanks mucho for the tip it made the difference.
Thank you for the kind words brother. It could be a few things really but I would start with the obvious. I would check the firing pin and the spring. Chances are that is where the issue is but on a roller delayed blowback system, it could be a couple of other issues also. If your spring or pin is worn, order from Numrich Gun Parts or just google CETME parts and there are some other parts companies out there that carry parts for these great rifles. PM me if you have more problems. Thanks. : )
Cool video I know it's old but when you put it all back together for future readers those last 2 pins you put in to attach your stock you should put 1 pin in 1 side and the other from the opposite side that way as you fire over time and things get loose from recoil it'll never ever separate because it's tied from 2 sides
Not boring thank you for showing me.
Thanks for the Vid! Had mine apart and wanted to get the bolt off..It looked obvious how it came apart and was I just wasn't twisting hard enough..Very fun gun!
This vid helped me out so much when it came to putting the bolt carrier group back in.
I flipped it around and hit it back in. No bends for me atleast
Thank you my friend. I wish I knew what you are saying. I think the CETME is one of the finest battle rifles ever designed and happens to be my favorite. Thanks again my friend. : )
@xdat909 I love it. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want something for say like a sniper rifle, this is not the one. If you want to send a bunch of .308 down range and really hammer something, this is the rifle.
Thank you for your time, very informative. I am doing research for purchase, and this certainly helps toward that !
I do thoroughly clean everything including the charging handle area. : ) Its a great system but you really need to go over the rifle very well. CAI has been a lot better than they use to be but they still have some bad guns here and there. I have seen excellent work by them but have also seen some bad work done by them. Just really give it a good look and if at all possible, a function test would be great. Thanks and if you need any advice, PM me. Thanks again. : )
You still alive bro?
@xfa977 Pleasure to have you on the channel. You know the weapon first hand and very well then. I love this rifle. I wish they would have somehow used the paddle release in the rebuild, oh well. Thanks for watching and please come back some more.
Will do, hopefully the one I receive will be a winner. Thanks for the information.
Thank you for your videos I really appreciate the time you put into them. if you have some spare time could you make a video on the trigger assembly? I'm having a hard time finding detailed Info on it.
hey thanks alot for your time.......very interesting
Thanks for the great video, it was well paced and easy to follow. I'm not sure if you have made the videos for the bolt and trigger group strip and reassembly, but I would like to express an interest in seeing those as well. Very helpful overall, thanks again for taking the time to make these videos!
Simple punch will release the 50 lb. spring in bolt carrier to re-assemble
I'm considering replacing the trigger group. A little video on that would be helpful. Thanks!!
I would like to see the video of you taking down the bolt completely. Also, I wish you would have shown a little more of a close up of you putting the bolt back on correctly. I have been having trouble figuring that assembly out.
Thanks for posting the video I just bought one
thanks, wacking it in backwards to open the bolt seemed easier than depressing the catch for me anyway. barely took any inertia. would like to see trigger group.
great video im looking at purchasing one, very simple gun that pack a punch
@relicright It is I who thank you for watching. It is a pleasure to work on my firearms and if by filming it and I help someone, even better. Thanks again. : )
Great video, I sure love my CETME.
@semiautoriflelover Wow man that is scary, I have had an accidental discharge myself awhile back. It is not only embarrassing but very scary. It happens and all you can do is go forward and always put safety first. I and you are very lucky no one got hurt. I made a mental mistake that I would under normal circumstances not make but I did. I learned a valuable lesson and I am positive that it will never happen again. I will make a vid on it, one day. Thanks bro..
@TheWqsa100 You know that is a good question. I would not think it would but I do not know the FN FAL good enough to give an educated answer so I will ask John about that and will get back to you. I can't thank you enough for the kind words, it means a lot to me. : )
@The45Reason I am trying to when I have time, crank out a few. I am going to try and do another tomorrow. Thanks bro..
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the kind words. I love the roller delayed blowback system. It just rocks. If I can help you in any way, please let me know. : )
Thank you for this.
Enjoyed the vid. Kepp up the great work. Thanks
I have a video out on disassembly of the bolt and bolt carrier on the CETME. In that video it will show you how to get to the firing pin and spring. Thanks again bro... : )
that is a normal field strip, yes. Nice video, man
Very good video..thank you.
Good video, big help
Yes please show a total breakdown of the bolt carrier
Thank you, I have shot both through my CETME for years. Thanks again. : )
It should not be jamming. If you do not feel comfortable disassembling the rifle, you should tke it to a Gunsmith/ Armorer for inspection. It could be a simple deep clean or something more might be happening. Mine runs like a top. : )
@cokeman2423 Great choice. CAI has had there share of problems but all in all, they will step up and fix their mistakes. At least with the experience I have had with them or my friends have had. I got it at that price from someone I knew and he was very generous with me. Looks like you have fine tastes in firearms.
No problem and thank you. : )
@DownRange1776 Yes is it is a CAI rifle but they did this one right. It is a little tight but I would rather it tight than loose. Thank you for the kind words.
iIt never fails just turn the camera on and it all goes sideways, lucky we don't do adult content. Thank you for your help on this subject thinking of getting one of these weapons. have a great day.
Thats ok my friend, I just had no idea what you wrer saying. On the old youtubbe, it would translate for you but cant seem to find out how to do it on the new youtube format. Thanks for watching my friend. : )
I would really need to look at it. It could be so many different issues. I would bring it in to someone who knows that rifle well. I am sorry I really cant give you more without seeing it.
@3255959 Ya exactly that makes sense. I have personally never seen one of the grinded bolts in person but have seen pics and yes they did it, I know mine is ok and untouched but who knows how many they did like this to get the space to look right. I also heard of many having canted sights, once again, I got lucky and mine are fine. You should be able to look at the back of the bolt and tell if it has been grinded. If you need a video to show exactly, I will do that, let me know. I love comments.
Me too. Thanks. : )
Aw, good deal bro..., when all is good, they are fantastic rifles. Thanks again. : )
Yes do a full dis and reassemblie of that rifle
Thanks for the vid. My cetme is en route to hawaii.
Thank you. Happy New Year. : )
@Bill1405 I am pretty sure I have a bolt disassembly on it, I am almost positive. I will look in a couple of days and make sure it is up, if not I will make one. Thanks.
@Mrcaffinebean I am not sure, I have had it awhile now. Last I looked, they were about 6 bills.
Thanks for the video man.
Check your extractor but I would really need to see it. Make sure the fluting in the chamber is nice and clean. Let me know. thanks. : )
@almorrano You spent some time in the service ? I love the CETME, it grabs me. lol. It is one firearm I will never get rid of. Thanks. : )
@chris3987 I have a 24 year old son and a 22 year old daughter. Thank you for the kind words.
@3255959 Yes, they are stamped and not milled, remember they came into the country as parts kits with the receiver torched off, ugly work but I think Century did a good job on the receivers. The top of the receiver is a CAI job for sure and in the one video I show how on the parts kit, its flat where the rear sight is welded on but on the CAI gun, it is rounded. I would love to talk on the phone to you about this rifle. I will pm you my # tomorrow.
@floflo2012 You don't know how good that comment makes me feel. I thank you so much, its the whole reason I make these videos. : )
Cool Vid my Friend!!
Thumbs Up!!
@WildBunch1911A1 Thank you for the kind words. Thank you.
I'll put up a video to show you mine. I think someone did some work to it? It's a little different and I can tell they filed down the pin stops to make it easier to pull out. Thank you again
AT least he did not call it a bolt carrier and piston group.
Thats great thanks.
@xxxragonxxx567 I will mostly use Ballistol and Militec. I use synthetic gun grease also. I will use Hoppes if I am out of the others and maybe Brake free and believe it or not Rem oil did good for me for years. I just prefer the first 2 I mentioned. I may do a video on oils and grease in the future. I appreciate you watching and commenting, it means a lot to me.
Sweet. I wish I was in route to Hawaii. I would not want to live there with their strict firearm laws but would love to visit. Thanks. : )
Just wanted to say thanks.Your vid helped me out.I know you made a roller block vid to.How often should that be taken apart and cleaned?
@Arkanix420 I am not home right this minute but when I get home I will pull out the magazine and take a look. Thanks and get back to you, if for some reason I don't in the next day or so, please remind me, I am forgetful about things like this. Thanks bro... : )
Apex is a good place to find one. Thanks.
Good job Mike nice vid.
TacticalAR15:
yes
yes
Both CETME and HK-91/G3
Better than an AK.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO, U DA MAN!
@freakingpyro I am the one who is appreciative, thank you for watching and Happy New Year. : )
I would carefully try and fix the spot where it got bent. I am sure if you take your time you can get it close but you really should not shoot it without both pins. Originally, there are 3 pins but to make it legal with the ATF, the third pin was eliminated, so, you already short one pin, I would not chance another. If you cant fix it, go to a pro. Thats my advice, thanks bro. : )
Amazing thank you
@MrChondro Yes it is and one of my personal favorites. I am happy the video helped you. If you need any more help with it or just want to bs about it, please comment some more. lol. Thanks.
Thank you.. your videos are great.. We need more people like you.. have a good heart.. .Do you have kids?
@supermandiamond Thank You and I will have more vids out on the CETME in the future. As long as you dont bugger up the rollers, I guess thats fine. Thanks bro... : )
@numba1stunna4269 You should get one if you get a chance too. They are great rifles, just make sure you do your homework on what to look for. there are some bad ones out there but, if its in good shape, grab it. Thanks.
My bolt face will not go completely against the barrel face. Any suggestions ? It may need some more break in shots.
Piece of cake buddy. It is a great rifle, I love mine. Thanks. : )
Thank you!!!
great job!! would love to see more
@1062itaska No, it is not plastic. I am not sure what thing you are talking about, please be more specific but I have no plastic on my Cetme, anywhere. Unless, you consider the butt padd as plastic but it is actually a rubber type material. I hope this helps, if you need any specific questions on the Cetme, pm me and I will give you my # and help you. Let me know and thank you. : )
Was looking at one and the little rollers on the bolt came out upon removal.. Any ideas? They appear to be held in simply by being in that particular rifle and not by a part on the carrier.. Which seems off to me. I'm brand new to the Cetme/G3 world..
I would not shoot unless both pins are in the gun. Something is not lining up right. It might take a little pressure on the butt stock but make sure all is where it is suppose to be. I wish i could look at it. Let me know how it goes. thanks.
