Please show videos on how to wire the PERC Cable for both the Mini and the PCIe options. Also please show how to change from an 8x2.5" backplane to a 16 or 24x2.5" backplane including cable wiring.
I personally use h300 series (in the homelab im designing i have put a r520 for storage with some other cards and external ports with h310 and a r720 also with h310 but this willhost only 2x600gb sff
Let's say I opt to uninstall my PERC730 completely as I'm not using any SAS drives and so e.g. a HBA330 is not needed for using ZFS. Do I have to rewire with 013CCM cables or is the connector "intelligently designed" to connect the backplane to the onboard S130?
No. You just remove th H730. And then select utilizing onboard software. Do note H730 is superior to HBA330. I'd advise using H730. Have a nice weekend.
Hello, I have a 730 with a 330 HBA controller but I cannot configure RAID mode. When installing windows server it shows all the disks separately, could you help me with this?
The 330 HBA Is just an HBA (Host Bus Adapter), meaning there is no hardware RAID you can configure, it will just pass the drives through to the OS. You can however configure Software RAID inside of Windows.
I have an r730 server and would like to mount a h730 mini raid controller. I currently have no controller mounted. I would like to ask you if it is possible to have the code of the perc to backplane disc cable. Do I have to do anything to install the software? I would like to install proxmox.
My server is Dell PowerEdge R730. I'm going to replace the motherboard because it's damaged. If I replace the motherboard, will the previous RAID settings also be lost? How about with the data on the old hard drive? all data are also lost?

Awesome!, Thank You Scott!!
Thank you Tomasz!
Should I also enble write-back instead of write-through for ESXI 8? Thanks for the video!

Perfect for RAID 5.

I love doing raid 5
H330 an excellent option for storage needs!

Thank you for reaching out. Yes we can support the perc cable. Please email sales@cloudninjas.com. Our team can assist.

Proxmox only supports passthrough/IT mode, not hardware raid. Save a few bucks and get the HBA330.
Which SAS controller is recommended for JBOD/IT Mode?
330. I believe all of them support IT Mode but you won't be taking advantage of any of the additional HW RAID-specific features. Save a few bucks.
Can you really use the S130 with SAS drives?
The manual says the S130 only supports SATA.
SATA only I believe.

Your bios settings will be lost, but not the data on your drives.
