Great instructor! The appliance repairman stood me up, so I ordered the part and listened to the video and changed the part rather quickly.
I can't get the housing back into place where the thermistor rests. It went in the first time and I didn't have a screw in my hand. I got the screw and it won't seat all the way anymore!!! HELP!!!!
Found the problem after emptying the top two shelves and getting my head back there. The thermistor needs to seat in a specific hole and more importantly, the socket on the backside of the housing that holds the large screw needs to SEAT into a hole on the fridge wall or the unit won't fit back in. Without removing enough shelving and looking back there I'd have slit my wrists by now.
Thanks for the video and for anyone who's struggling to re-assemble the housing, don't be lazy. Remove the top shelves of stuff to get your head back there!!!
Note to self: Take note that one of the symptoms of a bad air damper control motor is the clicking sound it will make at the unit once in a while, as it is trying to open and close.
In my case, it was just a problem with the gears getting misaligned inside the Damper assembly gearbox. I had recently moved the fridge and ran through the diagnostics (in reverse order) - possibly one of the two caused my problem. I took it apart and left the cover plate and door arm unattached. Reconnected it, plugged in the fridge, and let it do one revolution of the motor, powered off fridge, reattached the door arm in the opened position on the damper assembly, reconnected everything, and voila!
How would I verify if this is my issue? All of a sudden my fridge side is barely cool and the freezer side is so cold the ice cream is frozen solid, even with the freezer set up only 3 now.

put the damper in and it’s -10 on freezer side and 35 on fridge side. Perfect, except now I am getting H alarm on the freezer side now even though it’s -10.
The beeping noise is driving me crazy. I’m wondering if the temperature sensor is off a bit after installing

One day as I was doing my homework in the kitchen I heard my a noise In my refrigerator. Like something trying to open.
Shortly after that my refrigerator stopped cooling. After a quick search it brought me here. Now the annoying beeping noise is gone and everything is in working order.
Mine is just beeping and not cooling. The freezer is working through

@@julioperez220 no just this video. Was really easy and he did great explaining how to replace it. It's not hard at all in the first place but it helped when I was troubleshooting for the problem here on TH-cam. If I have any issues from car stuff to home repairs I look here first
