Hey thanks dude, I appreciate it. The best way to improve your right hand is to get really fast and consistent at downpicking. Learning how to play only downstrokes fast will lead you to alternate picking at those same speeds. Try learning the opening of master of puppets or something similar, that's how I learned. Think about using your index on your Left hand as an anchor point. Never lift that index while putting down your other fingers, only lift it when shifting strings or frets. Another tip would be to not over extend your left hand fingers, the closer you keep your fingers to the fretboard the faster you will be able to go! One last thing make sure your palm is away from the bottom of the fretboard, you want a nice gap between the board and your left palm. It will help keep your hand straight and on your finger tips.
