Meet Miss Janet: Legendary Appalachian Trail Angel & A Photographic Curator of the AT Community

We had the pleasure of recently meeting "Miss Janet" at an event held at Pine Grove Furnace State Park.
Janet has obtained the name "Miss Janet" over her decades of involvement in the Appalachian Trail Community. Over the years, she has gathered photos of hikers that she has met, and describes herself as the "unofficial" Photographic Curator of the Appalachian Trail Community. Others would refer to her as a legendary trail angel, providing numerous services and aid to hikers over the years.
She takes the time to talk to us to explain why the community is so important to her, how she got started within the hiker culture, and shares some interesting stories in the process of her experiences with thru hikers, section hikers and day hikers alike!
