Thanks for the shoutout here and in the description! I think you essentially summarized the paragon portion of my guide at the end of yours. I agree with most of your takes here. However, I also see a use for warden in pve. Keep in mind that you will easily face more than twice the number of nearby monsters in most pve content as players in most PvP content, so I think making the abilities stack faster with players is a way to at least partially compensate, not make it stronger in PvP. The main reason I think warden is more often going to be useful in PvP is that most pve content is easy, so you’re just looking for what will help you clear fastest or get the most loot/hour. That said, I can see warden being a good replacement for most situations where you might have used survivor, such as trial of the hordes (if most of your losses are due to deaths, as opposed to killing fewer monsters), or even pushing high challenge rifts if you do decent damage but die a lot.
I feel like ranger is perfect for DOT built too the longer the duration of your DOTS the longer you can maintain the maximum effects of this paragon tree. Basically put dots and run problem is on BG you need to step inside the circle of the idol to push XD
Exactly, imo this tree will be good in PvE. Could be very nice is raids or challenge rifts where you want to keep range most times. For BGs I would only recommend trying it with a few builds. You also have to consider that you will be dropping Gladiator or Warden which isn't great 😅
Hey Mao, ty for the shoutout, and great video. I came back to check if you’d responded to my original comment here, and I don’t see it. Did it fail to post?!
The relevant part I wanted to follow up on is that imho the warden tree has at least a couple of pve applications as well: trial of the hordes, and speed farming for certain classes/builds, because size actually increases movement speed 1:1 (without being reflected on the character sheet, or being affected by caps). Size works as a separate “bucket” multiplier for movement speed, so eg if you’re 23% bigger due to using a wb protector buff with the 15% size remnant + warden, and you hit the cap of +70% movement speed, you’ll actually move 1.23 * 1.7 = 2.091x your base speed, so more than double your base speed! On dh, we could get 20% from shadow sight, or 30% from 2 issatar or hawra’s helm, which would be up to 50% when added to a capped passive of 20% (which requires only bsj and our defensive stance). That would be 1.845x base movement speed when using the above mentioned size increases. I would still prefer Ranger and using our offensive stance as dh, for what I think is a better balance of damage and speed, but warden is certainly an option for speed farming if your damage is high enough and you want to maximize speed. Since movement speed buffs don’t stack, this would beat using massacre, as long as you’re using some other movement speed buff.
Apologies! I have been very busy over the holiday period and have just seen your comments. Thanks for sharing! Tbh I didn't think about this application of Warden tree at all but it does make sense! Like you mentioned I'm already usually using the 15% size increase from the WB room which would be 1.96x. Assuming you have enough damage to speed farm then an argument could be made between taking the slight boost in movement from warden vs the slight boost in gold/xp from TH. If I'm being honest I think the boost from both trees is pretty negligible unless you are having a very long farming session but I'd love to hear what you think :)
@@Mao_DIThanks for the reply, and no worries! I have just released a video all about how movement speed really works (eg passive vs total caps, passive vs buff sources, the fact buffs don’t stack, size), and I think I have the recording I need to edit a good video on my thoughts on all the uses of warden, including a direct comparison with survivor vs warden against the same opponent in trial of the hordes.
@@Mao_DII was using Ranger as a dh for farming (planning to switch to bk asap on my endless quest to collect all essences). I could see using warden instead for farming if a) you one shot mobs even with it, and b) your primary gear is all max rank, hence reducing the benefits of treasure hunter.
@@Mao_DIthe 1.845x I calculated based on also using protector with shepherds burden. I mean no offense if you’re handy with calculations, but I have a section at the end of my latest video where I show how to calculate your actual speed.

Super video and very detailed. Thanks
Great content, congrats
Great video, again. Thanks very much. Very useful.

Is the champion paragon any good in PvE ?
Not at all. All the bonuses from it are based of defeating enemy players
