Its awesome to see a big time pro rider, that has the best of the best, still get down with the oldie sleds all in the spirit of fun. I wish I could have been apart of that race!
Loved watching the TXL. Had one as a teen in the 80's and just picked up a (now vintage) new one. Anxious to go over it and get ready for next season!!
@@Levi_LaVallee If you Furnish the Beer Larry Enticer will show up.. I would like to try this race.. On My Fathers '76 Yamaha Exciter they had a wider ski stance in '76 . I won an obstacle course race on it with my leg in a cast broke my leg doing a Helicopter on snow skis .. did not Fall but did not get the foot around far enough . I also have a 1992 Polaris Indy 500 with Fuel Injection . The Yamaha needs fuel and oil lines has not been ran for decades.. the Polaris got parked when the skid broke and the studs took put a leak in the heat exchanger.. Thus I need to know months in advance to make repairs and be ready . Can't believe that the overall winners were riding double

Wanted to make it out this year, but Elk River is a little drive. Looks like an absolute blast, I bet some of those newer sleds were bought non-running to get them under 500 bucks though....

@@Levi_LaVallee yes the old piston port sleds run boggy in warmer weather. The colder the beter for the old girls. I realy like my 2005 700 xc sp, it runs great in all weather. God bless.

@@Levi_LaVallee Haha, no hard feelings brotha, i remember watching you back in the day when I used to race, was in the novice classes cuz i was so young, and just remember you being awesome for not only being a great racer, battling it out with greats like ross and tucker, but also being an entertainer, you were so friendly and open to the public, also welcoming the kids and socializing with the public, always with a smile, met you a couple of times and you even signed a double backflip poster for me I wanna say, sorry for the long winded reply just happy to see you're still true to your roots just having fun!

It was a bit easier a few years back. We eliminated the $500 from the race rules.... there was some questions about my C A skis /Fox shox leaf springs on my TXL costing less than $500... per ski. LOL

Pleasant Collision Motorsports blisters! I missed a spot with the tape and had a blister the size of a quarter on my palm
somehow it doesn't seem quite fair to have all those80's and 90's sleds mixed in a race with vintage sleds.
it is a judged race on who is the most creative and who has the most fun... no equipment advantage. :)
