Here’s how I think Genya will work He will be 1 character, a slayer, however when he surges he becomes the demon form and loses the ability to use assist and swap however gains to demon bars each with a unique blood demon art. You could also add unique properties like it only working on nighttime maps or only working when fighting other demons. But overall I think having genya as 2 characters is a little pointless as they still are very similar
So for that tanjiro take, its not the pink dragon that hes doing in that clip. Its when he mixed thunderclap and flash with sun breathing, which in the anime, he did do in a forest to chase after Hantengu. He will prolly have a new version, but that dragon wasnt in that animation
it's prolly gonna be similar to Hinokami Tanjirou's ult, combining the movement and slashing attacks he did vs Rui in ep19 with the Clear Blue Sky finish scene. so Swordsmith Tanjirou will likely do Dragon Halo Dance, but the ending animation is the Thunderclap variant he uses to catch Hantengu. my guess anyway.
I'm excited to see the the Hashira characters special attacks since they would reveal how their other forms look animated since they were not shown in Hashira Training Arc. Like for example we only get to see one of Gyomei's stone breathing forms in the anime but maybe we will get to see his other forms he uses in infinity castle right here in the game!
if they are making more academy characters, Makomo could be made into a academy version as well as the hashira's seeing Giyu and Shinobu are already academy characters. But keeping expectations for the # of characters is always a good option.
Disagree with Nakime. She's a more powerful Kyogai (who isn't playable) and her BDA would be very difficult if not impossible to translate into an area. Also you know...she doesn't move

I feel like the fact all the Hashira are confirmed will mean we’ll see this game covered the whole remainder of the series; Sanemi, Iguro and Gyomei don’t fight until the Infinity Castle Arc. What that means we might be able to expect from the non-Hashira newcomers: - Tanjiro (Swordsmith Village) - Nezuko (Swordsmith Village) (I think this Nezuko would be classified as a Slayer, much like Base Nezuko, but would combine elements of both Base Nezuko and Advanced Nezuko). - Genya - Gyokko (Like Globku said, probably just in his true form). - Hantengu (Which could go, like, 100 different ways) - Kaigaku - Doma - Kokushibo - Kanao (She fights for the first time in the Infinity Castle Arc). - Zenitsu (Final Battle) (This one would be awake during battle, and also have the Seventh Form as an ultimate, as you might expect) - Inosuke (Final Battle) - Tanjiro (Final Battle) (I’m not sure whether there will be two Tanjiros, one for each of the last two arcs, or one for both. Both scenarios are possible). - Muzan (Almost certainly just in his final form). - Demon Tanjiro - Yoriichi (I think he could be a funny secret character, possibly a secret superboss to close out story mode).
This doesn't work because they have confirmed this game only goes up to Swordsmith Village arc. Characters and such from Infinity Castle could likely be DLC, but definitely not base game.
@ Oh. I always thought it would feel weird to cut it off before the Infinity Castle Arc, since there isn’t really any cutoff point with a fitting final boss for a game’s story mode. Akaza worked for the first game, since, as Upper Rank 3, he was leagues above anything Tanjiro and company have ever encountered, and his battle with Rengoku was an extremely significant moment in the series. Hantengu would likely be the final boss in this game’s story mode, and he just doesn’t have that quality to him.

Finally the second game. I treat this game same as ones justice and only pick the sequel. Not because they're bad, but because lack of characters. 40+ characters with at least 30+ of the being unique are enough for me. Also i'am sure this will be the final Demon slayer chronicles game and the rest of the arcs will be in forms of expansion

my guess is that we'll be getting a swordsmith village nezuko that (if transformations are added) can transform and exchange speed for damage, alternatively her ult would be what has the transformation, but with the mechanic that despite being a demon she might be playable in the sun, possibly being usable in a team (which you can do with base nezuko, but not transformed)
She’s playable because she is a confirmed Water Breathing user,as long as a Breathing Style has been animated it’s all up to the developers to be creative with their movesets.
I really hope they just keep updating the game as the movies come out instead of making a third game,DBZ Kakarot has very long periods between season passes so I don’t see why that can’t be the case with Hinokami 2.
One person I'd like to see as well is Sekido. I was hoping we'd have Zohakuten and Hantengu be separate characters, as they function so differently, but I think Sekido would actually be a better fit over Hantengu. His abilities could still be summoning in the other clones, but his demon skills could be the lightning strikes.
Honestly i want 3 tanjiro's: number one, yes that one globku told during the video that ir Will be there, another tanjiro where he has a red bright sword that has the power of nezuko abd his ultimate attack to be the solar Dragon head dance, and the last obe maybe as DLC the tanjiro of the hashira training arc who has the demon slayer mark, his demon slayer uniform with the nichirin sword that has the part of the rengoku sword in its sword.

Haganezuka could easily use his knives or a variety of swords As for Hand Demon, altthough he's unlikely, he DID change size part-way throughout the boss fight in the first Hinokami Chronicles. Hantengu's emottions... could easily be handled like the Six Paths of Pain, so I agree with you there
I want the Upper 4 and 5 playable at launch but after Hinokami 1 launched with only Nezuko for demons i will keep expectations low and say neither are playable at launch
They have to go back and add the leftover demons because otherwise, we will only get two new demons, maybe three or four if Hantengu is split and Nezuko gets a new slot Muzan, Tamayo, drum guy and one of the spider family hopefully mother have to be added to the roster! We can't have just two new demons

Kinda late to this, but I think the emotions could show up as an ultimate. When his ultimate plays, it could be shown as the different emotions deal damage to the player/opponent

that dash move where he combines zenitsus thunder breathing and hinokami kagura will for sure be an ultimate thats why that shoot looks the same, its not a story shoot, globku is right
my guess is that we'll be getting a swordsmith village nezuko that (if transformations are added) can transform and exchange speed for damage, alternatively her ult would be what has the transformation, but with the mechanic that despite being a demon she might be playable in the sun, possibly being usable in a team (which you can do with base nezuko, but not transformed)

She’s playable because she is a confirmed Water Breathing user,as long as a Breathing Style has been animated it’s all up to the developers to be creative with their movesets.

Immediately clicked on the title the SECOND i saw my 2 fav characters.
One person I'd like to see as well is Sekido. I was hoping we'd have Zohakuten and Hantengu be separate characters, as they function so differently, but I think Sekido would actually be a better fit over Hantengu. His abilities could still be summoning in the other clones, but his demon skills could be the lightning strikes.

Honestly i want 3 tanjiro's: number one, yes that one globku told during the video that ir Will be there, another tanjiro where he has a red bright sword that has the power of nezuko abd his ultimate attack to be the solar Dragon head dance, and the last obe maybe as DLC the tanjiro of the hashira training arc who has the demon slayer mark, his demon slayer uniform with the nichirin sword that has the part of the rengoku sword in its sword.

I just bought the game is actually really good and yeah the second one has to be made very successful. I’m actually playing it right now while writing in this comment and they did the characters really nicely and they have made any of them to be but I think one of the hardest bite is probably the emuu

As for Hand Demon, altthough he's unlikely, he DID change size part-way throughout the boss fight in the first Hinokami Chronicles.
