Yeah, it was fairly shallow there. It is cool catching them in the clear water. The rod is a Daiwa Laguna, $80 from BCF. I prefer to invest the $ into the reel. In this case the reel is a Shimano Curado DC (left hand wind). The main braid is 50lb. The leader is 40lb fluro as it's a smaller clear waterway. Usually i run 60lb in case Mr. Big shows up.
