    I picked up a Hitech X2 a couple years ago and it's by far the best charger I've had in the past 30 years. At home I run it off a 35amp power supply and have every imaginable adapter for any connector. I use for RC stuff, we have 8 Rc vehicles between us and I use it for all my Airsoft stuff as well and some radio gear. Very versatile charger and built very solid.
    I still miss my old Tekin reflex charger if anyone remembers them lol.

    I just got this charger because I watched this video a while back. I returned to it because I couldn't figure out how to externally discharge to another battery. In the video the "Do not connect the battery!" warning pops up, and you just move on without addressing it. Soooo.... how does that work?

    You were showing off the balance port feature of this charger, and I couldn’t see what you were doing b/c your graphics were blocking the shot. Remove the graphics sooner. Still an informative video

    Hi, thank you for the review. What do you think about Ultrapower up8? I have hobbymate duo pro and I want to get another charger. What’s your opinion? Should I get the same or the ultrapower

    when i bought my TRX4 sport, i also grabbed a traxxas charger, with its own idconnector, it works and charges at a decent pace, even my 5000 and 5800mah 2cell batteries, storage mode charging does tend to take a good while tho. I am considering buying a more universal charger, but that would need to find out a way to balance charge my traxxas lipos, with its connector

    You skipped ext discharge. With both batteries connected the External discharge says "do not connect the battery! Confirm". What does this mean? I can't get past that screen.

    Hi, thank you for the great reviews and advice. I am looking for a new charger and have some questions about this one:
    Can it cycle the battery? I use this function to refresh my NiMN batteries? And does the external discharge really puts back the electricity back to the source battery or does it need an external discharger, as some other chargers need?
    Thanks

    Got a Hota D6 Pro and when turned on I just get the message "CH1 Self-check failed! (E108)". Troubleshooting I did: firmware update or hard reboot, but problem continued. Not happy!
    UPDATE
    - reported the issue to HOTA, sent emails several times for any news, and they only kept replying "sorry to hear that" and did nothing
    - reported the issue to Banggood, and after sending the unit back was fully refunded
    - now I have an ISDT D2

    Does this discharge faster or at a higher rate if you have it hooked to a DC external source? Could you use a car battery for discharge? I have a few deep cycle car batteries used for different things could I discharge my life goes into these

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So for discharging, the best option is to use a charger that supports a recycle mode. The input source is a big lipo battery. During discharging, the charger will put the power back in the source battery. This can be done very fast, up to 15 amps with small chargers. Otherwise, these discharge at .5 amps.
      One charger is the ToolkitRC.

      RC Review yeah, I just bought my Hota D6 Pro and it arrived today. Discharging my 4.17v to storage 3.8v (at the time I tried storage charging them) took almost 2hrs! Really nice charger though.

      Large Scale Life I looked that up. Can you tell it to shut off when 3.8v per cell is reached? Given there’s not a display I’m assuming that is done via the Bluetooth?

    I'm using an HTRC T240 Duo. It does everything this one does but is touch screen and about half the price at $75 - $80. I bought the HTRC to replace a Venom ProDuo that I absolutely hated.

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What did you not like about the Venom?

    • @DFDuck55
      @DFDuck55 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Venom to me is extremely difficult to program, to get into the mode you wanted and adjust the rates. Then my #2 channel got "stuck" in a mode for a battery I've never used. I tried and tried to get it out of that mode and never could. So to me it was a huge 1 channel charger that was difficult to switch between the two types of batteries I do use. And it has no on/off switch so you have to plug it in and unplug it. --- The HTRC is fairly compact, AC/DC and can discharge batteries back into the big LiPo like the Hobbymate does, has an on/off switch, is touch screen, and is extremely easy to change batteries or amp charge / discharge rates. The only real complaint I've heard about the HTRC is some people think the fans are loud. It's usually sitting within a couple feet of me when I'm using it and the fan noise has never bothered me, it's not all that loud. The only gripe I ever had with it is it came with a power chord for a Chinese wall socket. But a common desktop computer chord works, and I had a few laying around.

    I'm curious what the long term will be like with this guy. Couple Amazon reviews that aren't the best for a charger. Never want batteries killed or chargers going up in smoke.
    I'm still using a few Hitec chargers I picked up like 5-6 years ago. Been really good to me so far.

      @RCReviewChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We heard that is awesome. How much?

    • @alexsiniov
      @alexsiniov 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RCReviewChannel It is around 90$ on ebay or rc online stores. 35A discharge is insane. When I return home from a trail and have to storage or discharge my 8000mah lipos, discharge power really matters. Balancing with 2A also is pretty helpfull when fast charging high capacity lipos on the trail with 30 amps. Also possibility to test servos and analyze logs from SD card is pretty nice addition

      @@alexsiniov What about the power supply that's needed to run the iCharger.

    • @alexsiniov
      @alexsiniov 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrDLRu You can use anything from 12 to 60 volt. I use big PSU for all chargers while at home 24v 40A, or using big lifepo4 battery pack when outside, or powering it directly from the car, which can also reverse charge to storage voltage after airsoft game or drone racing.

      Charge power really does not matter if battery does not get hot. Lipos degrade only at high temps or when stored charged (around 1% of capacity per day)
