Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo. It's known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers.
Independence Square (Malay: Dataran Merdeka) is a square located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It was formerly known as the Selangor Club Padang or simply the Padang (meaning "field" in Malay) and was used as the cricket green of the Selangor Club (now the Royal Selangor Club). It was here that the Union Flag was lowered and the Malaysian flag hoisted for the first time at midnight on 31 August 1957. Since then, the Independence Square has been the usual venue for the annual Independence Day Parade.
The National Mosque of Malaysia (Malay: Masjid Negara Malaysia) is a mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has a capacity for 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres (53,000 m2) of gardens. Its key features are a 73-metre-high (240 ft) minaret and a 16-pointed star concrete main roof. The umbrella, synonymous with the tropics, is featured conspicuously - the main roof is reminiscent of an open umbrella, the minaret's cap a folded one. The folded plates of the concrete main roof are a creative solution to achieving the larger spans required in the main gathering hall. Reflecting pools and fountains are spread throughout the compound. Completed in 1965, the mosque is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly independent nation.
Petaling Street (Malay: Jalan Petaling, Simplified Chinese: 茨厂街, Traditional Chinese: 茨廠街, pinyin: Cíchǎng Jiē, Cantonese jyutping: ci4 cong2 gaai1,Tamil: பெட்டாலிங் தெரு , Peṭṭāliṅ teru ) is a Chinatown located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The whole vicinity is also known as Chinatown KL. Haggling is a common sight here, and the place is usually crowded with locals as well as tourists.
The area has dozens of restaurants and food stalls, serving local favourites such as Hokkien mee, Ikan Bakar (barbecued fish), asam laksa, and curry noodles. Reggae Bar Chinatown is located here. Traders here are mainly Chinese, but there are also Indian, Malay, and Bangladeshi traders.
One of Kuala Lumpur's famous landmarks, the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Kuala Lumpur, is located along with Jalan Tun H.S. Lee. It is one of KL's oldest and richest Hindu temples, receiving many devotees and tourists daily.
Another notable landmark within the area is Kwai Chai Hong (Chinese: 鬼仔巷) located along Lorong Panggung. It is a back alley behind the shophouses with lots of mural arts managed by Bai Chuan Management Sdn Bhd to make use as a tourist attraction. The name translates literally as Little Ghost Lane or Little Demon Lane in English. The alley features 6 artistic interactive murals with QR codes placed on the walls of each mural about historic life of residents around the block back in the days.

@@KayandGogo Hello there Kay and Gogo, hope that you guys are enjoying your weekend. Yes, the floating mosque in Melaka is beautiful, and there are quite a number of floating mosques in Malaysia, or by the sea or lake, like the Putrajaya Pink Mosque, the Putrajaya Steel Mosque, the Crystal Mosque and Kuala Ibai Mosque in Kuala Terengganu, I think there are few more around Malaysia, if I'm not mistaken, there's one in Penang and one in Kota Kinabalu also. There's one in Pangkor island. All are beautiful mosques. In case you guys like the architecture of a mosque, the Blue Mosque in Shah Alam and the Wilayah Mosque are also beautiful.😀
@@KayandGogo Look forward to watching your good time video in Melaka. Enjoy the weekend. 😀

We enjoyed it although we more into food than shops. It was a fun atmosphere 😀
You look so beautiful with the scarf. I am enjoying your videos in Malaysia.
We absolutely love the diversity of cultures and how everyone lives in harmony ❤️
Thank you so much 💓 I bought it in Malaysia 🇲🇾
😊😊
