I don't get it either. I understand that lipsync might be needed when he performs in a studio but Dimash would NEVER lipsynch when people are paying to listen to him and watch him. His sense of honor and integrity wouldn't allow it. I know in the early days of his career it was done, but not since I am Singer, as far as I know.

I'm a dear too. I was wondering myself in the beginning, but after hearing his French "s" sound in SOS, and his English in The show must go on, I believe he is real. People's ego blinds them from learning. More evidence never hurts though. Guess I'll have to see him live some day!

Thank you for this video. If you observe carefully those people who claim Dimash lipsync are always the same few. To me it really doesn't matter whether he lipsync or not, the most important thing is that the emotion that he was able to transmit through his voice and that it brings me to another dimension. People who say Dimash lip-synchs have obviously never seen or attended operas, where these singers perform operatic singing night after night. He is operatically trained and knows how to conserve his voice. Moreover, Dimash’s voice control is legendary and the fact that he alsohas perfect pitch is what makes him hit the mark every single time, with no errors. That’s part of why people including Andrea Bocelli, are amazed at his singing. Opera singers have to hit high notes for 7-8 performances per week with a live orchestra. They don’t lip-synch. If they are ill they have other singers perform for them while they are out sick. Dimash was ill with fever and flu when he performed in London last year and his voice was, to many people, off-key in places and raw. But he sang LIVE inspite of that, rather than lip-synch. Dimash is truly a consummate professional and would never cheat his audiences with that. Especially in New York, when he was performing with other professional singers, WITH his mentor and collaborator, Igor Krutoy, at Igor’s concert AND with his (Dimash’s) voice-coach usually backstage watching him. Lip-synch indeed. Those people are foolish, fake-news complainers, who make a great fuss over nothing - except for an empty idea in their heads.

Because he is so good, certain people are perpetuating the idiotic lip sync rumour. I don’t know of any classically trained opera singer that lip syncs. Can you imagine the reactions of people if Pavarotti was accused of miming. As for the in ear monitors, this is a stupid theory. Freddie Mercury and every singer before ear buds were invented never used them but they still were able to sing in tune and in time live. People are too used to pop singers who mime because they are unable to recreate live what they record in the studio using Melodyne and auto tune.

I was there that night and he sung live. In between songs he even sung with just a piano and he let the audience sing with him. Dimash will not do that. He knows that his audience deserved to hear him live. Being there is beyond description. He is like a magician. He convey and let me feel feeling I dont know I have. Every movement, every sounds, every facial expression seems to hypnotize and put me under his spell. I thought any moment I would just levitate..now I understand this audience that was crying during his performance for I did it too. I loss control of my camera and my videos are for personal consumption only. My remembrance of the day I broke down and live within a song. You could hear audible grasps, sobs, and silent screams. Being there is an experience beyond compare, just indesribable.

Fans of some other artist who cannot accept the fact that Dimash is that good will do anything they can to bring Dimash down. Thank you Bob for clearing this up. I never doubted it. Apart from anything else the ack of in-ears give it away. He has absolute pitch so has no trouble with pitch issues. I remember seeing part of a video where Dimash was meant to perform but he was sick. He came out on stage with the compere and the audience was told he couldn't sing. Dimash apologised but whenhe saw how disappointed his Dears were, he went ahead and sang a short song. Afterwards the audience was told that he was coughing up blood!! He is a true professional with such abundant talent as well as an extremely humble and genuine man.

It's NOT lip synched. It did occured to me it might......so I rewatched it at least a dozen more times and discovered there's some little minor differences (very, very minor but it's there nonetheless) than the Moscow's performance. It's 100% live singing. Dimash is that good.
At first I didn't notice the difference between the versions too, albeit I've watched the original version like 40+ times and know it inside out (besides I'm a native Russian speaker with some musical background). Then I've loaded both versions in Audacity software (fancam version from NY and Moscow version from the official channel), matched the tempo and compared the spectrograms. The difference is EXTREMELY small. No wonder many people didn't notice it. The vocal timing differs in 20-40 milliseconds max! Also some letters are less sonant (like "r" in "amour" vocalise)... В частности, если пороетесь, то найдете полную версию дива дэнс 2016 года, в которой участок с сольника в Бастау абсолютно идентичен. Про 2019 я промолчу, тут уже не фанеру ещё поискать надо. I will say that if a professional singer (Bob) puts his reputation at stake and states that Dimash is not lip syncing...why would he do that if he wasn’t correct? Whenever i watch Dimash's performance, i always appreciate & enjoy it very much no matter what languages he sing. We should all be grateful that there is a Dimash to sing for us. I also wonder why some people are always focusing on how he sing or whether did he lipsync. What i can think of is that they are jealous.
Anyone who hasn't watched his tonight's Russian concert, go watch the clips. He slayed ogni pietra, know and his opera duet!!!!! He changed a bit in ogni pietra pronunciations and extended notes in Know climax.The live feed is fantastic!

Most of those who are obsessed with the lipsync topic are those who are comfortable hiding behind the screen. I don't really care about singers lipsyncing as long as I know they can deliver a good performance live. The likes of Beyonce and Mariah etc. have done all that but I won't discredit their talent just because they lipsync sometimes. The only problem I have with singers lipsyncing is that some even lipsync a repetitive two notes song.

Btw, you will start seeing people claiming things, like I'm a sound engineer, my dad is a singer, my sister is a vocal coach etc to justify their opinion of lipsync so people will believe them more. And they will also begin with I'm a dear, I'm his fan but blablabla. Buckle up. If you see Dimash's videos or reactions, you will see THE SAME PEOPLE claiming lipsync. Some are even obsessed with it. You have to forgive them though. Dimash is a monster in that sense. His ability is so hard to believe that people doubt he's real. So they make up things and excuses to justify their disbelief. Having said that, ANY SINGERS, no matter who, will be subjected to lipsync once in a while. The equipment maybe doesnt support live singing (usually talk shows), the event is too important for the organizers so they can't afford mistakes and ask all the singers to use playback, etc. There are circumstances where the singers do not have a say. Well, unless you're talking about some mainstream singers who lipsync by choice. I won't say that Dimash never lipsyncs because I don't think that's true (again, not his choice and you can count them by hand) BUT in this case, the New York performances are all live. There are face to face fancams where they clearly shows this. Plus, the NY performance is too important for him to lipsync. It's like an advertisement for his solo concert. He's trying to get new fans to come and of course to get that LIVE singing is very important. Most of the audience are Russians who are so used to lipsyncing singers. They will know if anyone does so. Dimash got a standing ovation from the audience, men and women, for this performance. They wouldn't be that impressed if it was lipynced. And most importantly, Dimash sucks at lipsyncing. When he lipsyncs you'll know because his mouth doesn't even match.

The sound of the vocal was perfect, as if he was singing directly into a mic as he normally would. I'm positive he did not choose to do that, but was required by the show to do so. There are only a few cases where I think he was required to do it, maybe 4 - out of over 70 performances I've seen. The thing is that if we Dears always deny that he ever did it, even in a case like this Blue Light, then people won't take us seriously, like we're just blinded by being fans. People may think he was doing it in the NY performance because he did the songs so "perfect", as Bob said. Dimash either sings the same song almost identically, or changes it, improvising. But when he sings it the same way, it's so close to being perfectly and exactly identical that it's very hard to find any differences. So they think he's lipsyncing. Also, some haters will say he's lipsyncing because someone else in the show is - like the woman in Passione. However, Dimash & Maestro always perform LIVE, but with some prerecorded music and sounds, as well as live musicians & singers - Dimash is always live, except for the few rare cases. I also studied the 2 performances Bob talks about in this video really closely, because he sang them almost identically, and I found spots where he came in on one version with a word just a tiny fraction sooner, or later, than the other version. Or a tiny difference in vibrato, etc. It's truly amazing, because there were so very few differences that I could find - but I did find them! I agree with HQ, Bob & all of you - both PERFECT performances, NOT lipsyncing!! Dimash is THE best singer on the planet!!!!!

I don't get it either. I understand that lipsync might be needed when he performs in a studio but Dimash would NEVER lipsynch when people are paying to listen to him and watch him. His sense of honor and integrity wouldn't allow it. I know in the early days of his career it was done, but not since I am Singer, as far as I know.

Thank you for this video. If you observe carefully those people who claim Dimash lipsync are always the same few. To me it really doesn't matter whether he lipsync or not, the most important thing is that the emotion that he was able to transmit through his voice and that it brings me to another dimension. People who say Dimash lip-synchs have obviously never seen or attended operas, where these singers perform operatic singing night after night. He is operatically trained and knows how to conserve his voice. Moreover, Dimash’s voice control is legendary and the fact that he alsohas perfect pitch is what makes him hit the mark every single time, with no errors. That’s part of why people including Andrea Bocelli, are amazed at his singing. Opera singers have to hit high notes for 7-8 performances per week with a live orchestra. They don’t lip-synch. If they are ill they have other singers perform for them while they are out sick.
Dimash was ill with fever and flu when he performed in London last year and his voice was, to many people, off-key in places and raw. But he sang LIVE inspite of that, rather than lip-synch. Dimash is truly a consummate professional and would never cheat his audiences with that. Especially in New York, when he was performing with other professional singers, WITH his mentor and collaborator, Igor Krutoy, at Igor’s concert AND with his (Dimash’s) voice-coach usually backstage watching him. Lip-synch indeed. Those people are foolish, fake-news complainers, who make a great fuss over nothing - except for an empty idea in their heads.
People think about the idea of lip sync because they are use to average pop singers who regularly do lip sync Performances. People can't handle Dimash's Performance.

As for the in ear monitors, this is a stupid theory. Freddie Mercury and every singer before ear buds were invented never used them but they still were able to sing in tune and in time live.

I was there that night and he sung live. In between songs he even sung with just a piano and he let the audience sing with him. Dimash will not do that. He knows that his audience deserved to hear him live. Being there is beyond description. He is like a magician. He convey and let me feel feeling I dont know I have. Every movement, every sounds, every facial expression seems to hypnotize and put me under his spell. I thought any moment I would just levitate..now I understand this audience that was crying during his performance for I did it too. I loss control of my camera and my videos are for personal consumption only. My remembrance of the day I broke down and live within a song. You could hear audible grasps, sobs, and silent screams. Being there is an experience beyond compare, just indesribable.

Thank you Bob for clearing this up. I never doubted it. Apart from anything else the ack of in-ears give it away. He has absolute pitch so has no trouble with pitch issues. I remember seeing part of a video where Dimash was meant to perform but he was sick. He came out on stage with the compere and the audience was told he couldn't sing. Dimash apologised but whenhe saw how disappointed his Dears were, he went ahead and sang a short song. Afterwards the audience was told that he was coughing up blood!! He is a true professional with such abundant talent as well as an extremely humble and genuine man.

It's NOT lip synched. It did occured to me it might......so I rewatched it at least a dozen more times and discovered there's some little minor differences (very, very minor but it's there nonetheless) than the Moscow's performance. It's 100% live singing. Dimash is that good.

At first I didn't notice the difference between the versions too, albeit I've watched the original version like 40+ times and know it inside out (besides I'm a native Russian speaker with some musical background). Then I've loaded both versions in Audacity software (fancam version from NY and Moscow version from the official channel), matched the tempo and compared the spectrograms. The difference is EXTREMELY small. No wonder many people didn't notice it. The vocal timing differs in 20-40 milliseconds max! Also some letters are less sonant (like "r" in "amour" vocalise)... And that's all! If it wasn't Dimash, I would say it's pre-recorded...

Плюс можно в этом убедиться, послушав "Грешную страсть" с разных концертов. Я не говорю, что фонограммы нет. Наша эстрада без неё не может, потому что все остальные "певцы" привыкли петь под фонеру. I will say that if a professional singer (Bob) puts his reputation at stake and states that Dimash is not lip syncing...why would he do that if he wasn’t correct? He has the experience to differentiate live vocals from lip syncing. It’s disheartening, yet appreciated, that this video had to be posted. Thank you Bob...Dimash does not lip sync.

I don't fall to any category that you mentioned. @@JCW-up3un Не переживайте.Вел разговор с подписчиками.Рассказывал подробно о том ,что Димаш на концерте пел в живую...для этого он выставил две картинки разного исполнения одной композиции песни...вы сами видите они разные...и...подробно обьяснял ,как работает Димаш без наушников.Многие стали сомневатся и спрашивать почему поет без наушников...вот он подробно по полочкам разложил как это работает ...а особенно для нашей аудитории....что в этом зале петь под фонограмму запрещенно.Да... кстати слово фонограмма ни разу не упомянул.Надеюсь я вам рассказала понятно.И главное ...еще сказал, Димаш для него певец самый из всех...кого он знает...Супер -Фантастика.

Насколько я поняла, он отвечает на критику некоторых , которые под его видео с концерта стали писать, что это не "живое" выступление. И как я поняла, это недоброжелатели Димаша не англоязычные, а завистники с нашего русскоязычного пространства! Я перевела для себя выборочно многие комменты англоязычных комментаторов с помощью элктронного переводчика, так они все возмущены такими нападками в адрес Димаша и говорят, что Димаш это чудо, нереальный талант и что те, кто пишет негатив - это люди завистливые и не разбирающиеся в реальной музыке, люди с прогнившей душой! Прямо так и пишут! Спасибо иностранным слушателям, какие они позитивные, прекрасные люди, так хорошо относятся к Димашу!
Whenever i watch Dimash's performance, i always appreciate & enjoy it very much no matter what languages he sing. We should all be grateful that there is a Dimash to sing for us. I also wonder why some people are always focusing on how he sing or whether did he lipsync. What i can think of is that they are jealous.
Anyone who hasn't watched his tonight's Russian concert, go watch the clips. He slayed ogni pietra, know and his opera duet!!!!! He changed a bit in ogni pietra pronunciations and extended notes in Know climax.The live feed is fantastic!
No lypsinc, only the people can dee his laring, throath and vocal articulation, who think that is some doens anything about singing, and rhe are many close up, and a lot of people taking his handd in the stage while he was singing BEAUTIFUL LIKE ALWAYD, and the ebergy of hid moved with legd hands and all his body, EXTRAORDINARY UNIQUE MAGNIFICENT SPECTACULAR.

No kidding, Lip sync or not ,atleast he was there live and in person dazzling the audience...its like watching one of the gods of Mount Olympus in the flesh!!
Most of those who are obsessed with the lipsync topic are those who are comfortable hiding behind the screen. I don't really care about singers lipsyncing as long as I know they can deliver a good performance live. The likes of Beyonce and Mariah etc. have done all that but I won't discredit their talent just because they lipsync sometimes. The only problem I have with singers lipsyncing is that some even lipsync a repetitive two notes song.

Btw, you will start seeing people claiming things, like I'm a sound engineer, my dad is a singer, my sister is a vocal coach etc to justify their opinion of lipsync so people will believe them more. And they will also begin with I'm a dear, I'm his fan but blablabla. Buckle up.
If you see Dimash's videos or reactions, you will see THE SAME PEOPLE claiming lipsync. Some are even obsessed with it.
You have to forgive them though. Dimash is a monster in that sense. His ability is so hard to believe that people doubt he's real. So they make up things and excuses to justify their disbelief.
Having said that, ANY SINGERS, no matter who, will be subjected to lipsync once in a while. The equipment maybe doesnt support live singing (usually talk shows), the event is too important for the organizers so they can't afford mistakes and ask all the singers to use playback, etc. There are circumstances where the singers do not have a say. Well, unless you're talking about some mainstream singers who lipsync by choice.
I won't say that Dimash never lipsyncs because I don't think that's true (again, not his choice and you can count them by hand) BUT in this case, the New York performances are all live. There are face to face fancams where they clearly shows this. Plus, the NY performance is too important for him to lipsync. It's like an advertisement for his solo concert. He's trying to get new fans to come and of course to get that LIVE singing is very important. Most of the audience are Russians who are so used to lipsyncing singers. They will know if anyone does so. Dimash got a standing ovation from the audience, men and women, for this performance. They wouldn't be that impressed if it was lipynced.
And most importantly, Dimash sucks at lipsyncing. When he lipsyncs you'll know because his mouth doesn't even match.
It's because he isn't used to lip-syncing. It's not his field!
This is exactly what I think, HQ! There were a tiny minority of cases, where he was SUBJECTED to it, as you said, required by producers, etc. I believe he never would by choice, because of his work ethic and character! But there are rare cases, as you said - here's 1, the title translated Love of Tired Swans New Year's Blue Light, 2019: th-cam.com/video/Lfz-C9biUgc/w-d-xo.html Dimash performed the song with Maestro, but didn't even have a mic. The sound of the vocal was perfect, as if he was singing directly into a mic as he normally would. I'm positive he did not choose to do that, but was required by the show to do so. There are only a few cases where I think he was required to do it, maybe 4 - out of over 70 performances I've seen. The thing is that if we Dears always deny that he ever did it, even in a case like this Blue Light, then people won't take us seriously, like we're just blinded by being fans. People may think he was doing it in the NY performance because he did the songs so "perfect", as Bob said. Dimash either sings the same song almost identically, or changes it, improvising. But when he sings it the same way, it's so close to being perfectly and exactly identical that it's very hard to find any differences. So they think he's lipsyncing. Also, some haters will say he's lipsyncing because someone else in the show is - like the woman in Passione. However, Dimash & Maestro always perform LIVE, but with some prerecorded music and sounds, as well as live musicians & singers - Dimash is always live, except for the few rare cases. I also studied the 2 performances Bob talks about in this video really closely, because he sang them almost identically, and I found spots where he came in on one version with a word just a tiny fraction sooner, or later, than the other version. Or a tiny difference in vibrato, etc. It's truly amazing, because there were so very few differences that I could find - but I did find them! I agree with HQ, Bob & all of you - both PERFECT performances, NOT lipsyncing!! Dimash is THE best singer on the planet!!!!!

He had to sing them so perfectly at least once, to record them in the first place!!! The way you put things, and the way you end your post, is why I think people are perceiving you as a hater. It sounds like you're trying to discredit Dimash, because you said you WERE amazed, but THEN you saw different performances & all THE SAME. So, I repeat - even if you're right about him lipsyncing all these versions, he STILL would've had to sing them "so perfectly without the slightest weakness and so dynamic, soft and powerful .. all in pitch every Note" AT LEAST ONCE, to record it. So why WERE you fascinated & super amazed, and why do you make it sound like once you heard the other performances and realized they were playbacks, you were no longer amazed? That's what makes it seem like you're actually trying to discredit Dimash. it's not really that you're saying there are playbacks, but because of what I just pointed out - the overall sense of your post is that you were impressed, but that you're not any longer, once you decided he was doing playbacks. The only people that address this subject are Dimash anti ..fans....they only want you to comment..most of them are fans of a circus performer who does lipsync..
