Love this guys music, I listen to both albums religiously but I can't stand watching him perform live. I don't know if it's lip-syncing or "playback" but it just really bothers me, it just doesn't sound real.
you do understand musicians record different versions for their "live" versions right? there are aspects of this i feel are live and others that are obviously prerecorded
jmsteingrim the point is that there shouldn't be any ore recorder material onstage especially not vocals. It's possible to do anything completely live if they just practice and train for t properly but most bands use tracks and it's such a cop out. some bands like Paramore barely use them which is awesome but this video is just ridiculous with the use of tracks.
I respect Jack a lot because he's a super talented producer and writer. But god almighty why would he put the whole lead vocal on a track, it's such a cop out. I get that he's not completely syncing since he's doubling it sometimes but like, just sing the damn song for he people dude.
In 2015 they had a joint tour called "Charlie and Jack Do America" and the second half of it was cancelled. It was cancelled because Charli XCX wasn't happy(somewhere along that line), she wanted to make new music.
