Yeh Wakazaimon on bass is great. She is the touring bassist for Marty Friedman. Yuki is great as well on guitar. Been following her for about 6 years. She is one of 2guitarists in the great instrumental band D_DRIVE. Al theother members sonded really good as well.

I just got the blu-ray of their debut concert and it was absolutely phenomenal. I mean, it was just ridiculously good. Definitely worth picking up.

I love the concept behind this band, great musicians who have already established many connections with various artists in the J-Metal J-Rock scene.
Bassist is incredible, seen her playing with Marty Friedman in Wacken this last year also has done live shows with Koiai.

phenomenal band, excellent musicians. I´m a fan of lefty bassplayer wakazaimon since I first saw her in daisuke kurosawas band cover of "Kurenai" (including tamu murata) th-cam.com/video/PlY74hr1sKE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sRIJzSW6Qdzkit1I also is mizuki so impressive, she hits as hard as haruna. thank you for your reaction and appreciation of the young ladies.

I don't know why, but that duel between violin and guitar and the subsequent violin solo give me goose bumps every time. ✨
The rhythm section is a powerhouse and singer Akane has a very strong presence and I think a great voice that stands out. By the way, she has a musical connection to two certain ladies who perform in maid costumes today, as she was once in a group with Akane and Kanami a few years ago. :)
Another grouping of extremely good musicians from different bands that I hope to hear a lot more of in the future.

I’ll be short. I was able purchase East of Eden’s personally autographed CD when it dropped. It is one of most cherished possessions. ❤️🍏

Greetings from Germany, where I happened to catch this reaction (it's near midnight here). This is a new supergroup, and an emphatic statement on the depth of talent in the Japanese metal scene. Most of the members have roles with other bands, so it’s not clear this is more than a project, but we’ll see. What we’ve seen so far is spectacular.
The hook? This is a metal band built around a violinist. (The closest thing I know of is Unlucky Morpheus, where Jill often takes a lead role). Ayasa plays a custom five-string violin, which I’d say is metal. She is also the founder of the band.
    Personnel:
    Violin: Ayasa (currently with Morphonica)
Guitar: Yuki (founder and co-lead in D-Drive)
Bass: Wakazaemon (bassist with Marty Friedman and other projects)
    Drums: Mizuki (Lonesome Blue)
Vocals: Akane Minato (x Predia, several other groups)
They have posted three songs in very different styles so far, all showing off great songwriting, jedi-level mastery of their instruments, and Akane’s powerful vocals. They have also issued their first EP. Definitely a band to watch!
You should also check out the various members in their other projects, especially D-Drive, which is an amazing instrumental outfit that takes guitar harmonies to a rarified level.

excellent reaction , thank you , yes they are a "supergroup" maybe you heard something reminiscent of the LOVEBITES ? their music is written by Mao Yamamoto called the sixth member of the LOVEBITES because he collaborates a lot with them , the violinist is very good friend of Asami , another group that has contacts with the lovebites are the lonesome blue always to Mao to the music and Asami wrote many of their lyrics , the drummer is the same Mizuki of East of Eden
if you want to listen to them I recommend "face the fear"

I first heard this song about 10 days after release. It became the most listened to song on my Apple Music for 2023 in only one third of the year. But to be honest, i listen to LOVEBITES very much on CD/Blu-Ray/TH-cam and also some other bands. So I don’t know the overall numbers …

When the main melody is played by the violin, as in my usual solo activities, I personally don't want the high range to be too harsh, so I cut down on that part a little while raising the mids.
When I play a phrase with a vocalist and a band sound, I lift the high range a little and balance the mids to create a thicker sound.'' (Ayasa)
``EOE requires slaps and technical playing, so we aimed for a relaxed sound with distortion, and since there are many instruments that sit on top, we also focused on creating a mid-range feel that wouldn't fill up too much when you lower the low end.'' (Wakazaemon)

I think I like this better then Unlucky Morpheus even though I really love Fuki . Unlucky Morpheus doesn't seem to properly utilize the violin like this band did in this song ( may have been who you alluded too though you did not mention Unlucky Morpheus by name ) . I will need to hear more of both bands though to be sure

I like Unlucky Morpheus a lot and a big factor for that is Jill. But she is „against“ 2 lead guitarists and in many songs a more aggressive overall sound. But they have also songs where she can shine and in addition four of them are their instrumental side project Quadratum.

I was a big fan of East of Eden back in the 70's 😂. Fantastic British Prog Rock band led by the great violinist Dave Arbus. I look at this and think, my, he's changed!! 🤣
Edit: Dave played the violin section on The Who's Baba O'Riley as a guest artist on the album Who's Next. and just in case you think I'm kidding, here's East of Eden th-cam.com/video/pjPe4EPJCA4/w-d-xo.html
