      @thehardboilednidaimeerosen7115 3 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      Otake‘s serves aren‘t that consistent. Nishida has a high risk high reward jump serve, but Otake‘s is either a good day or bad day and today was a bad day. Like majority of them were out or landed in the net. Same with Kentaro Takahashi‘s jump serve, 80% was in the net or wide. At this point it would make more sense for them to learn an effective jump float serve like Lee, Onodera and Fuji but he can do both. Leave the jump serves to the players of the squad who‘re excelling at it i.e. Ishikawa, Nishida, Sekita formerly Yanagida, Shimizu, Ran, Takanashi, Otsuka and Fukuzawa.

Being down by 2 sets to 1 it's really hard to come back especially the opponent is the defending champions of VNL. Although the team are lacking in some aspects like the height and blocking, the composure of the team and the moral are strong. It was an epic match. For those who were saying that Japan didn't even have their Team A play I think that's more of a strategy. Russia has the best blockers in the world, if Ishikawa and takahashi were there I think they would more likely have been blocked. They used the smarter players this time. Well done especially to the libero of Japan. On the other side, Russia I think is more on experimenting their team. They could have used Volkov Poletaev and Kliuka in that match but chose not to. Especially in the fourth and the fifth. But still kudos to Japan for showing that height is not that might. Proud Asian here.

    After watching this live, i would say Russia started to do lots of errors during set 4 and set 5. Well both them does but Russia was literally hitting the ball on their net. Maybe bcus of exhaustion, and Japan was still on fire bcus their 2nd game was with the Netherlands, and they also won 3-2. Mostly Japan team are new and its their first time playing in pro international level, like libero Ogawa, 17 Takanashi, 13 Oya, 19 Otsuka and 21 Takahashi Ran. Altho the current line up lacks a great pitch server, like Yanagida, but they still fight their very best and took control the game 👏 Truely a very exciting game to watch

  • @TheHeninhardenne

    Oya is such a good setter at 178cm tall, he can still set up a very high block. His sets were perfect and helped win the match.
