    1) I put the level on AFC. I would like to use AF in everyday life. It annoys me when he occasionally stutters to seek focus. How would you configure Sensitivity and Speed?
    2) When I go to Menu/AF Mode and use "Full Area", why do I have to use the focus handle like when I use "1 Area"?

    Really helpful video! Question, at around the 25minute mark, you go over the image stabilization menu settings. At the bottom under “Lens Information”, if we are adapting a 35mm lens with a speed booster, do we still put 35mm as the lense choice? Or do we have to choose a different focal length for the camera so it’s stabilization is more accurate?

    • @RussellKentNicholls
      @RussellKentNicholls 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I would put the equivalent focal length as to what the speed booster brings it to. Ie if you’re adapting the 18-35 Sigma ART and using a 0.71x SB, I’d set the lens info to whatever the 0.71x is :)

    Just thought I should add tha if you're lens has OIS mode, then you cannot change the Operations Mode to OFF -- because the lens is taking over that job, that is, setting the OIS to ON and OFF is the same as setting the Operation Mode to ON or OFF

  • @Studiotek
    @Studiotek 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The GH6 doesn't have dual native ISO... it has Dual GAIN output. The main difference is that in VLOG with DR Boost ON, it records 2 video streams, one at 250 ISO and the other at 2,000 ISO, and combines them into 1 output. This is how cinema cameras like the Arri Alexa work too.

    Very helpful video! However, Panasonic needs to FIX the Time Code display which will NOT display the Time Code value on an external monitor. It will display the letters TC (for Time Code of course) on the external monitor but NO Time Code value next to the letters TC.
    I have a setup where I need to see the TC value and this annoying glitch is preventing me from using an external monitor until Panasonic fixes this.

    “The Dual native ISO kicks in at 400 and at 2000”. This is not correct: native ISO is 250. And the 2000 ISO offers the option to active the high dynamic range boost function. Which is a great feature but not a dual native iSO.

    Whats the difference between afc to afs. When shooting for video

    • @RussellKentNicholls
      @RussellKentNicholls 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Antwon, if you or your subject is moving I’d recommend using AF-C (Continuous) in video mode as you’re more likely to keep it in focus over AF-S. Continuous means the camera will keep the AF active throughout, and this can also be changed in the menu to be focusing before you press record by setting the mode from Mode 1 to Mode 2 in the menu.

      @@amthemusic7632 thanks a lot! I actually only had the GH6 for this video - I loved it but because I use the S Series which is a different lens mount for now, I’m sticking with those :) but I started on GH series and really loved the results with that. So filmic; they’re seriously underrated 💪🏻💪🏻

      The 10-25 is pricey but covers pretty much all the ranges I’d use (20-50mm FF equivalent)

      Hmmm, as far as I know, no - only the shutter button as record can be enabled or disabled. I haven’t seen any menu options for turning it off completely.

    I subscribed but I can't take this camera seriously at the same pricepoint as a Sony A7IV which is light years ahead of this thing, even after waiting for years. Regardness, really good video and I am considering another GH5 as my nostalgia camera and because the $1,299 pricepoint is exactly where the GH6 should be.

      Sony is good for photographers. You probably do not understand what video capabilities are in the GH6.

      For professional video work you should not take the Sony A7IV seriously at the same price point compared with the GH6!! Amateurs and beginners believe in the FF hype and are led to believe that FF is the only option for good images! Curious time for us when beginners use FF and professionals use crop sensors (among others, of course)! Cameras are work tools! Every job requires a different tool! It remains to understand them and know how to use them!

      @@TITAOSTEIN The GH6 is a great camera and the stabilization is awesome. To compete with that, I have to use a Gimbal which is big and heavy. However; If I'm geared up with everything, you won't stand a chance against me with me A7iv and Gmaster 16-35. BUT, if I can't use the gimbal, because of the stabilization you will smoke me. I wish I had both cameras. The GH6 is a comfortable option if I could live with the crappy focusing.

    • @WexPhotoVideo
      @WexPhotoVideo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The on/off switch is on the top cover around the mode dial. If you look at 5:25 there is a top-down camera angle which shows the whole top cover. the on and off markings are visible between the Mode dial and the red button.

    nativ ISO?

    • @WexPhotoVideo
      @WexPhotoVideo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The GH6 has dual native ISO or dual output gain. This enables the camera to read two different outputs from each sensor and then combine them to deliver images and video with more detail in the shadows and highlights

    The GH5 really disappointed me when shooting video of moving subjects like birds flying or planes landing. As soon is a have to follow/pan the subject, even very slow following, a lot of jitter and judder occurs in the recordings. For me, as a wildlife videographer, it made the GH5 practically completely unusable. Do you know if this serious jitter problem is solved on the GH6? Did you do a jitter test?
