I’m so appreciative to come across this before I made the purchase. Now I can buy the weights and bench. Thanks!

Great video! I just started making my own and it’s amazing how much work it can take for me to even produce a mediocre video, you have skills!

Dude, I'm working out the plan of my own squat rack. I had settled on the design... and you just complicated it all over again.

Great job I’m definitely gonna build my own just one question. How do you measure for when you fold it in without it hitting each other and being perfectly spaced apart so it folds in Nicely??

When you mounted the gate hinges to the 2x6 you didn’t use 3in screws did you?

    Not now with lumber price

    • @wood2wod619
      @wood2wod619  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Lumber prices are crazy right now. Here is a modified material list to make the squat rack:
      2 - 4x4x8 PT Lumber
      2 - 2x4x8 Stud Lumber
      1 - 3/4"x3' Black Pipe
      2 - Felt Pads
      1 - Door Hinge Pins (4 pack)
      4 - 3.5" Door Hinges
4 - Zinc Hook Gate Latches
      1 - 3" Screws (50 Count)
On the Lowe's website, before taxes, the order total for this came out to just over $90 at my local store.
      General Cut List
Vertical Wall Rack Beams (2) 4”x4”x6’
      Cross Pieces (4) 4”x4”x11”
      Horizontal Wall Mounts (2) 2”x4”x46”
      Bar Mount Blocks (4) 2”x4”x7”
Galvanized Piping for Bar Mount (4) ¾”x9”
Instead of using Foundation Straps to secure the hinge braces, you can use the left-over 2x4 lumber (Appx: 5') and cut some right-angle triangles to secure the Wall Rack Beams. Use 3" screws to secure in place. Be sure to pre-drill your holes so the triangles don't split when screwing them in.
      Hope this helps!
