Great idea, but wish there was more information on how to make the mowing unit maintain its HOC. Works OK on verticut units but this system has issues.
I would love to have more videos on this topic. I'm replacing my bed knife and I assume there was graphite lubricant between the blade and shoe. I would like to know if this is the case and why it is there. Do we put them on all the screws?

I cant figure these units out? They reel is oval shaped set them up with a .001 feeler guage. Turn the reel 180 degrees and the reel is super tight. Ive verified our foley reel grinder and bedknife grinders are good. Replaced every bearing in the reel and rollers. Paralleled bedknife and reel with a benchplate. No rocking when on benchplate. We also have toro dpa units no issues with those.
I have the same issue with them being oval shaped and not making contact, but making heavy contact turning 180 degrees. I just got 10 brand new mowers and they all have that same issue. I have a brand new bernhard hrinders as well and after grinding, it's always the same. It's a little worse on qa7's but expected as the reels have spring adjusters on those and are moved for reel to bedknife contact. But qa5 reels are fixed in position and should not have this issue but every one always has for me... toro Jake and baroness have never had that issue
So to adjust the cutting reels you turn anti as lightly. Then turn Clockwise slightly right?

Need to check the worm gear inside hoc adjustment the gears get stripped out

The reason is for corrosion I smear grease on bedbar and make sure to put never seize on screws
Yes, make sure you wipe excess anti -seize
I tore one apart to replace reel bearings, reel and bed knife but I have 2 small springs left over and no idea where they go.

Also what is the maximum HOC for the unit at it's highest point considering the front adjustments? Where can that information be found?

Depends on what bedknife you have and where u set the hoc range on front roller.
