There’s just something special about the Big Boy’s steam whistle…but there’s something extra special about hearing that whistle resonate in the Piney woods of East Texas!!! WOW!!! Thank You Again!!!
We are HUGE train fans. Our son was 3 when he saw the 4014 Big Boy in Palestine on November 9, 2019. It was our very first time to see it in person. We LOVED it. It was so awesome to see the 4141 George Bush unit attached to this excursion!!! We were so very fortunate to see the 4014 Big Boy again on August 15, 2021. We can’t wait to see it again. We also can’t wait for the 4141 George Bush unit to be open for public display. Our son is now 5 and his love for trains has gotten even deeper. Thank You so much for posting this most incredible video. We have watched it numerous times. INCREDIBLE JOB!!!
I had the privilege of seeing this behemoth as it made its way to College Station. This was the second time I saw 4141, but this was a much nicer occasion. That whistle still makes me shudder. Modern diesel locos, just don't have the same appeal.
By this coming up week I’ll be filming in a different place sadly, got 2 videos today, got one up and tomorrow I’ll upload the other, I got irritated from the one I put up cause it’s glitchy again towards the end, if I had the time I’d try to make alittle bit of $$ before getting hired, but don’t have that much anyway, and the closest the big boy was to me was in Texarkana, still a far drive
Man, you sure got some good shots! Awesome Video and documentary! I’m going to post my 200 mile chase of the big boy from San Antonio to Houston later this week if you are Interested
Thanks for watching! Had a blast chasing this thing!

I'm glad to hear your son enjoyed the video. I grew up watching the same type of stuff, and it makes my day hearing this. Thanks for sharing that!

Good luck! You're gonna love it! It's definitely something videos don't do justice. Seeing it in person is the way to do it!
Did you see two people on the concrete levee near the bridge? Those two people were me and my father lol
What town?
Marshall

Is it possible for these old steam locomotive trains to pull the loads our current diesel-electrics pull today?
I was standing back behind you at 20:20 and didn't even realize it
How bout that haha? Which one were you? That crossing was crowded.
@@LouisianaRailProductions I had the Patriots beanie on, and yeah crowded was an understatement lol
