  • Struggling with those more unusual Reading Comprehension videos? This video tackles a high level passage, with complex sentences and vocab, and includes three unusual question types seen on the RC section of the GRE and GMAT. I will also demonstrate my core RC techniques and strategies of slow reading, critical engagement and stopping-and-summarising.
I offer private GRE / GMAT tutoring online at a fixed rate of $140/hr. Please get in touch via the email below, or through my tutoring website: www.gretutorlo...

The GRE and GMAT are two of most used graduate exams for those seeking to study a Masters Degree or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. The Graduate Record Exam and Graduate Management Admissions Test have been taken for over 50 years and are taken by approximately 600,000 and 300,000 people worldwide annually, respectively. These exams are typically taken between the ages of 18-40, by those who have completed, or are about to complete, their Bachelors Degree.

Grateful for any support: / testedtutor If you’re now ready to get into your dream MBA program, my former student, Angel, is offering virtual private Admissions coaching. She was admitted into Harvard Business School, The Wharton School of Business, and Columbia Business School (accepted into every school she interviewed for) after graduating from UCLA with a degree in Communication. She also got 3 perfect scores on the GRE’s Analytical Writing Assessment (99th percentile).

Simplify down to 5 words! what a takeaway! Learning a lot from these videos
I have already made a mistake by not being a diligent reader and not formulating any techniques to tackle these questions and scored only 148 in V
This surely helps in my practice now!

The reading Comprehension is the section that I dread.
I try and complete my S.E and T.C in 10-12 minutes so that I have some time to tackle this section. Could you perhaps address the best way to go about the verbal section.

I think 10-12 min is a reasonable time to complete SE and TC's IF you know your vocab and understand complex questions. If you are struck on a complex non RC question, mark it and move along, 15 min is good enough for RC's and always keep atleast 2 min in the end to review your marked questions. Also, read the passages very slowly so you wont have to read them again.

It's not like I can't decipher the RCs. It has more to do with the speed. To read the passages and answer them correctly and do it in a minute or two gets me stuck. So I thought it's better to do the short ones first and then come to the long RC.
