This is exactly the video I’ve been looking for, for mounting Livescope to my autopilot. I bought my autopilot used and the Livescope pole is a summit pole connected to the stock track with a ram ball. The ram ball doesn’t keep the pole straight, it ends up pushing back towards the kayak and is never looking ahead perfectly level. I love exactly what you’ve done, I’m going to try doing the exact same thing. Thanks!
Nice. I did the same but put everything in a pelican case so I can move it between kayaks. Boy do I wish these kayaks come with more preset options for what we do now days. I will pay for a plug and play set-up.
shoot big bro im right across the way in kalamazoo, i just got a 106sv and livescope plus for my kayak. im excited af to get it out on the water. unfortunately its snowing here today. hope u been tearing them up on the water
Great video! I’m curious why you installed your livescope mount on a yak attack mount instead of attaching the Subplate to Your rails? I hope to install my livescope soon on my AP120 and trying to order the right parts. Would you consider adding another screen? Contemplating that as well as I have a second uhd 93sv
Versatility. I can move that YA mount and put it anywhere I want via the Lock n Load system. No I'm not adding another screen, I don't want to further complicate the setup. Adding another screen means I'd have to upgrade battery to power all that. Livescope already draws a lot of power.
Exactly my though. I’m going to steal this mounting system but attack it to the rails. Currently I have a summit pole mount connected to the track with a ram ball and it is horrible. The ram ball won’t keep the pole straight even at low speeds
Yes it does, with a slight mod of using a Dremel tool to shave just a little of the plastic to allow the battery prongs to slide through it. Easy stuff
I have put livescope in many times i would not hook that to that power distribution center. That thing will cause interference.. you really need everything with livescope completely by itself.. Your screen will be clear that way..
Literally have zero issues with my live system powered vis the power hub. So perhaps there are other factors involved that can cause it cause I'm sure that can be a legit issue.
yes it's perfectly fine. I think it can be tricky just looking at it from the video because it may look like its not long enough but remember that the water line on the kayak is just below where the paddle sits. So it's all good!
Nice setup! How long is the pole for the livescope? Is it the 24” version? Could you link the extension cord you used for the livescope transducer to easily take it on and off?
I haven't done a full test to see how long it will actually run but by the math (amp draw vs amp hours), I can run it for about 17hrs roughly. I can say that I have done back to back days fishing for 4-6hrs each day and had plenty of juice.
Love this! How far and how long are you able to fish on your battery now that you have the motor and the livescope? Also with this set up would it be difficult to remove and attach to an ice fishing shuttle??
I just used the livescope cable extension and run that to the black box and out of the thru-hull and then connect the transducer cable to it. That way I can disconnect and remove the ducer.
Nothing I'd change really. The only thing that bothers me is that it will squeak when turning the handle around and theres a bit of flex when under power. Not a deal break but something I've noticed.

Glad it helped
Awesome set up dude. I’m looking to do something similar where it’s easy to hook up and disconnect for ice fishing.
Yeah the flexibility of doing it that way is key.
Thanks for this man, I look forward to starting this project.
Nice video. I really like your setup. Looking forward to seeing the new setup in action.
Hey thanks and I'm working on it. Lots to learn and its pretty amazing.
Can’t wait to see those late summer salmon slamming on the yak videos!
Yeah there's been a lot of juvenile Kings but the big Kings should be here any day now.
I’ve learn a lot watching your videos. Caught my first king last weekend! Going to go get some more this coming weekend
congrats! Welcome to the addiction
@@ChiCityYaker how many lb test leader would you run with a naked spoon?

Nice. Great thing is there's limitless way to go about personalizing it.

Nice man, for some reason kayak fishing LM on your side of the lake hasn't taken off like it has on my side. Glad more are getting into it.
@@ChiCityYaker for sure bro. Tight lines out there. I got out yesterday and hope to get out this weekend once this wet weather passes

I see you are running the Amped 32amp hour battery for your panoptics.
Does that battery fit in the front hatch?
Yes it does, with a slight mod of using a Dremel tool to shave just a little of the plastic to allow the battery prongs to slide through it. Easy stuff
Very impressive
thanks

Nice setup! Can't wait to get one. Which Garmin unit are you running?
Ultra unit
@ChiCityYaker do you think the other Garmin unit ($1050) that I see on your Amazon store will work well with Livescope?
What’s length pole did you select for the livescope transducer? I know they make two lengths which are 24in or 36in
I honestly can't remember bro, my bad.
Ha I believe I predicted you’d pick up a LiveScope 😀
Smart man
Does you LS go into the water far enough? What size pole? The 24”? Seems like the mount sits pretty high.

Yes it is and sure here's the amazon link: amzn.to/3LJrI0i
How long does the 32amp hour battery last you runnibg everything ?

What part is the connector so you can disconnect your live scope? I definitely have set mine up that way!
I just used the livescope cable extension and run that to the black box and out of the thru-hull and then connect the transducer cable to it. That way I can disconnect and remove the ducer.
@@ChiCityYaker sweet. Thanks
How long is the down pole? 24 or 36?
I don't remember off memory but its the stock one they sell I believe.
6 months in, anything you'd change with the pole setup? I'm using a summit and it moves anytime I go over 1mph picking this pole up tomorrow.
Nothing I'd change really. The only thing that bothers me is that it will squeak when turning the handle around and theres a bit of flex when under power. Not a deal break but something I've noticed.
I wish I had the patience for this. Anyone wanna come do the labor for me?
