It's interesting to see how Disney tends to follow rather predictable rises and falls in their movies' quality while DreamWorks pattern is to release two or three passable films and then drop a banger of cinema.
It’s called patience and balance, compare to disney i think they’re pressuring on their work so much, thats why they couldn’t think of new ideas, they have to take it slow like a PROCESS.

I saw this film 3 times in theaters and bawled every time. As someone who was born prematurely and needed a lot of assistance when I was little, I related so hard to Brightbill and Roz made me think of all the sacrifices my mom made to help me. 😢
This movie is AMAZING and absolutely cries sooo much during it. DreamWorks had been killing it with their animations lately. This to me was prime Pixar levels of good.
It's insane how I know literally every voice actor in this movie! Roz is voiced by Lupita Nyong'o (the lady from Us and T'Challa's lover in Black Panther) Fink is voiced by Pedro Pascal (you know who that is) Brightbill is voiced by freakin Nick from Heartstopper Longneck is voiced by Davy Jones from POTC Vontra is voiced by Joy from Everything Everywhere All At Once Paddler is voiced by Matt Berry (pretty sure he voices the robot in Fallout) Thunderbolt is voiced by Luther from Mission Impossible The bear is voiced by none other than Mark Hamill And, to top it all off, Pinktail is voiced by Catherine O'Hara
@@MoviesinDepththat AND Luther is also the voice for the Arby’s commercial which is why everyone immediately recognized his voice because of that commercial
thunderbolt's also voiced by the same guy who voiced cobra bubbles from lilo and stitch, which is cool considering Chris Sanders directed both that movie and the wild robot.
My grandmother is currently suffering from dementia. Every day I wake up terrified she’ll forget me. The whole “I think with a different part of myself” scene was so unbelievably comforting to me. Because I know that even if she can’t remember me, she’ll always love me
I cried three times watching this movie with my mom, thank god I brung tissues! It was so gorgeous! What a beautiful movie! It was such an awesome experience in the theaters, everyone in my theater were in tears. The music, the characters, the acting, the animation! Everything was perfect! I loved it so much! 10-
To answer your remark about hibernation, animals that do it are able to slow their metabolism and heartbeat waaaaay down come winter. They more or less go into a regulated coma for a few months. I remember seeing an exhibit at the Smithsonian that let you feel just how cold a hibernating animal feels to the touch and it felt like touching a freezer!
I’m obsessed with animation and this is one of the best I’ve seen. It is stunning! I saw it in the theater so I really got the full effect. I agree with you, this should win best animated film this year.
@@MoviesinDepth A group of crows is a murder (muster is also used, but conspiracy would be fun), a group of ravens is an unkindness (although I prefer enchantment), and a group of larks is an exaltation.

0:37 "Wait, is this Universal and DreamWorks?" Me: it's mainly DreamWorks as Universal owns the company since 2016 (with previous distribution deals going from 1998-2005 with DreamWorks Pictures, 2006-2012 with Paramount Pictures, 2013-2017 with 20th Century Fox (currently known as 20th Century Studios) and since 2019 with Universal)
My sister saw this in theatres before I did and the moment she got home all she did was talk about it. She almost bit her lip off trying not to spoil anything for us😂
if you liked this movie then I recommend watching Leafie, A Hen into the Wild, its a 2011 South Korean movie about a chicken that raises a duck, it got translated into English but I liked the original Korean voice acting way better cause the Dub censored some important stuff
first time ive seen a comment relating this movie to Leafie! i noticed the parallels in theaters and i love it! its amazing how similar the premise of both movies is but both told in such unique and beautiful ways! to anyone reading: i second the suggestion to find the uncut subtitled original korean version. be prepared, its darker than the wild robot if you can imagine
After I found out this movie was passed on a book series, I instantly went to see if my local library could get the books! (There are 3 books by the way)
K you asked about bear hibernation. There's basically create a plug at the end of their intestines. And after they've stacked up on fats and stuff. During the last fall, they basically sleep it off and then they come out all skinny and need to eat again.
When I first watched the movie Fink sounds similar to Ben Schwartz in some of his dialogue ( he sounds similar to movie Sonic in some areas. ) Definitely was surprised it wasn’t Ben but Pedro Pascal
I don't care if I sound like a broken record, Longneck is the MVP of this movie! Never once doubted or judged Roz or Brightbill, encouraged them all the way through, had the best lines and deadass sacrificed himself so the geese could escape. A true homie. May you rest in peace.

"Why are you all okay with all this death?" Because they know it's part of nature? Because it's a daily part of their lives? Seriously, all those deaths at the beginning of the movie... they are completely normal in the wild.

I genuinely don't know which hairstyle I should recommend you today. Maybe Deku from My Hero Academia or Asta from Black Clover? Taliyah, any suggestions?
Easily replaced Inside Out 2 for me for best animated film of the year. I see that you watched Your Name on your channel, but I really want to suggest the anime film A Silent Voice. It deals with some really heavy stuff though and will probably make you extremely emotional at some point. It's a slow burn of a watch, but really good. I've seen it in both English and with subs and I enjoyed the subs a little more. I really liked the Japanese actors.
Once again, DreamWorks proves why they're better than current Disney. I'm honestly a bit surprised that they didn't go more into human life, but I can see why they didn't because Wall-E exists. Still, I am curious how humanity got to where they are in the movie, especially since a lot of the environment seems in tact

Like someone said, Dreamworks literally is the graph of "it's so over" "we're so back"
Fun fact: this movie's directed by the same guy who came up with the character designs of Toothless and Stitch (whom he also voiced).
Offff course because he’s a legend
Well that explains A LOT
