Nothing is ever a fail. It is a learning experience. It came out beautifully. I’ve been wanting to tell you something. I’m not a resin artist. I do needle work and crochet and used to paint. I totally hear ya on the math issue. I’m dyslexic and have dyscalculia. Numbers are not my best friends. Gorgeous project, amazing save! 🤗❤️🤗
You can drill into the bubble area and fill it with resin. Just make sure and flush it out of all the dust after you do it before putting the resin in

This came out great! Great save
First it's turned out beautifully #2 can I make a few suggestions that might help? Quips will grab almost anything that you find floating inside hair, bubble, fuzzy critters Quips are great tools to have next to your mold as your pouring or mixing 2 I think the heat gun worked against you it made the resin cure and ripple this happened to me when I was pouring a tray and used the split cup I used the heat gun to make the colors blend but I did it too long and it ripped like this.

Great save! I know....so so much work and frustration and time but well done. I ended up using resin putty on one of mine with some uv resin to attach the flowers I had formed by hand (along the top of my heart and halfway down the sides) and then when cured tinged the edges of the small clear flowers with gold because i could not buff out or sand the edges one more time! 3 times was the most my patience could take. I admire your patience and quick thinking )and tenacity!) Well done!

I’m not an expert in any way, but I have heard and seen other resin artists say not to spray alcohol on top coats because it breaks the the surface tension , which leads to it dripping over the edge.

You can dip your bird in resin and stand it up on some styrofoam or something and let it dry before you put it in your design

Could you do a thin layer of resin then put a mirror in the bottom. The shape of the mold. Then more resin and fairy lights. Then add the flowers in and fill to the top. I wonder what the mirror or 3 or four little mirrors and lights would look like?
