What always struck me about this episode was our first time seeing the Heisenberg hat, made infamous by this show. We can see Walt and Jesse just still so amateur, and still having to deal with the psychotic Tuco still. At this stage still way out of their league. but man what an incredible Season 2. From now on every episode gets better and better with some stunning scenes. You will be amazed!

The hat definitely is iconic! And I'm very much looking forward to the next season. I've heard this series is one of those rare few that never really jumps the shark and stays consistently good, and I'm excited to see what happens! :)

@@nebulousreactions Yes it's a bit like Buffy The Vampire Slayer S2 of that show really was such a massive step up in terms of quality. Breaking Bad is incredible the way it improves so much in each episode. Good luck with your viewing.

A writer's strike interrupted first season which is why there were only seven episodes and why the cliff-hanger isn't really there this season. The rest of the seasons are fire!!

Yes, it was not a season finalse. Im sure other viewers put in the comments the reason why. Dont worry, the show just gets better and better every episode and season. Of course there are a few episodes that are not top tier TV here and there, but all of them are still good and important to the overall story.
